My mother is half polish and recalls her childhood when her grandmother cooked this recipe for her. The duck blood was substituted with prune juice in her case! I am very inspired to try to create this soup. Your video was especially helpful in providing a clear explanation for how to create dumplings. Thanks for the help! :)
Czarnina and pierogies, it doesn’t get better than that. I remember when my friends’ family cooked all of that and gave some to me, and when I took the soup home I told no one to eat it until after I had consumed it (they didn’t know what was in it until afterwards I had told them). It sure was good.
