Hello my historical fashion friends. Here is my latest shoe video.
I am still confused a bit on if the stitch is still a butt stitch if its not butted together but actually just right sides together. The way the threads go in and out is the same but maybe its something else entirely? Flesh Edge? I'm unsure because I have read it differently a couple different places.
Basically most important is there are two threads going through the same holes from opposite sides so they can be pulled tight.
I'd also like to note I am not a historian or an expert, I am trying most of the things in my videos for the first time and going on a journey to learn about them and make mistakes, and improve.
Please stay tuned for more videos involving these shoes, such as dyeing them with walnut dye, and my little camping trip, plus the get ready with me.
