Hello fellow Australian liver, if you live in NSW or QLD I will be coming to your house and stealing your plushies because I literally love them so much!
Lol you can actually meet me at Goldcoast Supanova in a few months, i’ll have a booth there and plushies for sale! But they are pretty expensive tho since so much effort goes into them :)
This is so cool! I like sewing plushies and I can’t even comprehend how painful it would be to make all of these. I commend your perseverance! Albatross looks SO COOL!
Ok, so I have two reasons to ask fora whirlpool plush 1. I want to see a reenactment of Anemone pushing Whirpool into a pool of eels 2. I also like think that if Whirlpool was ever turned into a marketable plushie, the only reason people would buy was to throw it into the depths hell, a.k.a, the fireplace.
Some helpful steps to making the patterns if the vid is a bit confusing (: 1. frill/sail (Include seam allowance) 2. Spine (Explanation: It’s in two parts so that the frill/sail can go in the middle. Include seam allowance only on straight edge) 3. Sew Frill/sail and spines together (Frill/sail goes on inside, spine on outside flipped over, so that when turned inside out it will be on the top) 4. Body p1 (Start sewing at neck, Frill/sail + spine is sewn into the body’s back at the same time) 5. Body p2 (Sew underbelly/chest into it now) 6. Flip right side and stuff 7. Weight using doll making beads 8. Head piece (Explanation: Chin and forehead line up at pink line, Head even-ness is very important so two piece of head cuz the seam allowance would change if you did it by hand) 9. Forehead (Explanation: forehead piece connects with spine, which is sewn in the top middle of the head pieces, make sure it bends with the head shape) 10. Chin (Same as forehead but bottom middle) 11. Hand sew the chin and forehead pieces together where they meet on the nose 12. Sew Ears (Hand sew, or if experienced can do on machine) 13. Sew horns (Hand Sew, stuff before, can do on machine if experienced) 14. Sew ‘flippies’ (Hand sew, or if experienced can do on machine) 15. Sew eyes (Hand sew) 16. Attach head to body (Hand sew, could make neck skinnier here) 17. Cut wings out (Don't stuff) 18. Sew wing veins onto wings 19. Legs (Explanation: Since we want the legs to fit nicely onto the body, sew the legs with 'back leg snip' and 'front leg snip' at the top) 20. Foot pad insert at bottom where the leg hasn’t been sewn yet 21. Sew each side of foot pad carefully 22. Cut off ‘snip area’ that was drawn out 23. Flip leg right side out 24. Stuff leg 25. Repeat for all four legs (Two back, two front) 26. Attach to body (Hand sew. Explanation: The front and back leg snip is the ‘extra’ bit of the leg to help it fit nicely onto the body) 27. Stuff the ‘gap’ areas (The front and back snip bits) where there is no stuffing to make the thighs thick and juicy 28. Add chest frill (Hand sew) 29. Attach wings 30. Use embroidery thread to make lil toes 31. Add scale details with fabric glow in dark paint (Paint with fabric paint before glow in dark paint) (This has been checked by the creator if your wondering)
@@mapleleavesWC I'm not actually 100% sure about the sail. I think your best chance is just dming her on Instagram. Also don't take my word for it but I believe the foot pad does include seam allowance but again its probably a better idea to just ask her directly. (:
You mentioning the number of tribes got me thinking: adding Sunstreak to the character lineup would give you the opportunity to go for a really unique design from all of the others! And it'd give Clearsight someone to cuddle up to, once you get to him ^^
Here’s my reasoning for why you should make Whirlpool: You can punch him. You can throw him. You can slap him. You can step on him. You can repeatedly slab him with pins.
absolutely LOVE this idea, hope you dont get stabbed too many times while sewing them. The glow in the dark paint is a cool touch for the glow scales! I honestly just love the way you designed them, cant wait to see dragons like Peril be made. this also somehow inspires me to finally finish my plushie after procrastinating for like 2 months so thank you
This actually is so cool!! Albatross looks great, and I especially love the detail of the glow in the dark scales, as well as the feet! It’s very clear how much effort and time you put into the plushie, and I’m exited to see the rest!
OOH this is so cool! I love seeing fandom plushies like this (esp wof!!! I very rarely see handmade wof plushies) and providing the pattern for free was so sweet??? When I clear my plushie queue I'm def trying it, the idea of glow paint was such a nice touch! I might modify it to be floppy and use mochi stuffing because it's a strange thing I like doing. Tysm for uploading this, I'll stand by as you continue the series! 60+ characters is as absolute commitment
DUDE THIS IS INSANE! I cannot understand how your doing this but its so cool!!! I am subscribing to watch this series through! Also for the obscure character thing, One of my absolute favorite characters is Listener, clearsights friend. And if you do end up doing her, I have always drawn her in shades of dark browns simply because her wiki has her looking like every other nightwing and it helps making her a little more unique. Either way, I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE MORE OF THIS SERIES!
GRAHH YOUR LITTLE ICE/NIGHT HYBRID OC DRAWING❓‼️ I LOVE THE DESIGN FROM THE ARTSTYLE TO THE LITTLE TEARDROP SCALE 🙏🙏 phenomenal plushie work as well! Very skilled :)
I vote for hebi’s sanity for the wild round. Hebi can use my vote however he likes to stay mentally stable (no seawing princes) I put this message on all vids so far.
Hi I have an account named Tulin**Draws and I LOVE your work this is awesome but I have a problem I don’t have a sewing machine so I would really love if you could help explain how to do this by hand? If so that would be AWESOME love your work thanks
When tou sew by hand you don’t use seam allowance so you should trim that off of the pattern, i do explain it in this video if that helps, and for the stitches you should try to use a whip stitch for the internal parts, sew everything inside out. Even if you did have a machine this pattern would have to be created 50% by hand anyway. If you’re doing it 100% by hand all you’d need to do differently is the body sections, legs, head and wings :]
i've always called the seawing chin things beards or whiskers (i call them beards on male seawings and whiskers on females) but i call them barbels on non-binary characters
Because of your adorable Plushies, I started trying to make my own dragon crochet pattern… it will never see the light of day (I have never made a pattern before)
i watched this vid halfway through and subscribed immediately. 1: I loved the result 2: you worked so hard! and considering it takes three days to make one you'd have to have lots of Pacience and commitment
This is so damn cool, your plushies are a perfect blend of simplified, and detailed! They look fantastic! Have you ever considered making customs or selling finished plushies? :)
I think I heard you say to print the paper on A4 paper? Is there a way to print this on letter paper? I’m in America and know nobody with a printer that can print on a4 paper. (Unless I’m being stupid lol) 😂
A4 is the standard sized paper globally i thought lol, if you print it on letter paper it’ll just have a border and that will be fine, so long as every piece is the same scale, it’s really about not like,, printing one page of the pattern twice as large as the others. Good luck lol
I wish I could make plushies, I’m not sure if I would like to be get stabbed by a needle 24/7 though, ack thinking about blood makes my legs wobble-I’m not scared of blood I just don’t like looking at it. I’d probably make a Tamarin plush, or a Whiteout plush.
I can’t wait to make my own Sky plushie!! A free pattern like this is actually a miracle. It would be cool if you could make written instructions on making them! ❤
What fabrics do you recommend for these kind of plushies? (Also i freaking LOVE these plushies it is one of my main reasons im learning how to sew lol)😅❤❤
5mm pile minky is what i use! You can buy minky in lots of different pile lengths, pile just means the fur/fluffyness level. I would also reccomend polar fleece because it’s much cheaper!
Where do you buy your fabric! I'd like to make a couple plushes but I can't find any places that sell the right minky (also would stretch velvet work for these?)
I get my minky from minky n more Australia and also sometimes from Hopen Textiles on Aliexpress! (I haven’t used stretch velvet but i’m sure any material would work?)
Personally i dont think albatros was very evil, it was Lagoon's fault because she drove him off the edge, originally he was nice to fathom ( we dont talk about that seagull incident) he let fathom in and taught him the basics of animus magic, however casting so many spells drove him to be crazy and thats why he snapped at the party, i feel like if they had controlled him better he could have been a great grandfather/ tutor to fathom
Oh yeah totally and i also really like how animus magic is never actually confirmed to be what rots your soul- rather it’s how others treat/ use you and how animus magic gives you a sense of unstoppable power lol
Hello I’m hoping you see this bc I have a recommended book series for you! I’ve read WoF (wings of fire) and loved it and am now reading warriors cats it’s a truly great series and I’d love to see you enjoy it too! I also read Survivors it’s like a dog version of warriors cats but unpopular also amazing made by the same author! Really hope you see this!
If you started a shop of these guys I wouldn’t care if it was over $100 I would buy!❤❤❤❤❤ I have always wanted a Wof plush and the books are the best and I am Christian but I really love sundew and willow they are the best couple there is out there❤❤❤
I do sell them sometimes! But each one is made one at a time by hand which takes me actual whole days of labour, they’re not like a store bought plushie, they’re like an artwork. I have to redo my plushie prices so i can continue to afford making them for all the hours of work, but they’re gonna be well over $100 because the materials alone cost me $50
I’m working on sewing one, and I’m a little confused on the foot. For the bottom, does the pointed bit go towards the front of the leg or the back? Sorry, I couldn’t tell in the video
honestly, I dont blame albatross for doing the things he did, he was literally driven made by the hatred of his family, only to be 'replaced' later by Fathom in his work.
Yeah all the ‘evil’ animuses are kind of united by the theme of if they were trated with better circumstances they wouldn’t have done what they did, still evil though lol
OHHH WAITwaitrwait i actually have 2 plushies from you! it mustve been over or atleast a year ago, but i have a Turtle w/o the armband and Anemone! and i think you mustve used some brand of glow in the dark paint for Anemone because shes really flipping cool at night! i treasure both of them
Yeah i know exactly who u r lol, that Turtle was my second ever WoF plush i made and that was at my first time ever selling my art! and the anemone does indeed glow in the dark, ur dad bought it from me at goldcoast supanova!! I’m glad you like them! If ur going to the gold coast this year i’ll be there too to say hi!
