When I was a level 10 some random person gave me 10K. I'm level 76 now with over 11 mil and that person saved me so much trouble in the beginning. That shit really meant a lot to me back then. I love videos like these.

This is why I love OSRS, it has the best community of any game I can think of. Nearly anyone is down to chat, or go out of their way to help you out. I remember when I quit my other account I did the same thing and RS trivia, it's so fun to make noobs happy.

Why do people always get lazy towards the end of videos like these? They start off by handing out 100-200k per person to actual poor players and end up giving millions to smurfs just because they're getting bored. Do it in multiple takes if that keeps the concept fun for you.

I used to play runescape, back in 2001+ and I was a F2P noob except I got like all the best shit you could get on F2P at the time. I eventually gave my runescape account away in Vanilla WoW to some random persons little brother who was like 7 years old that was spamming on trade chat. Somehow this video was on my feed but I liked it, generosity is awesome and a character trait of strength.

back then, there werent as many hand outs and easy scape as it is now so a rune set was actually valuable so this video, while nostolgic in principle falls short of the mark. only way is to actually go back in time and hand out rune to people back in 2003

That’s so awesome man! I used to do this when I played. I would make iron and bronze sets and stand at the Kim ridge area when new players started and just give them that for starting out. you could of asked what do fire lighters do? what quest do you need to use the crystal bow? where is one place you can obtain adamant arrows? just a way to turn your simple answers into a harder question to new players.

Brings me back to 2004 when I fell for the "trimming armour for free" -scam. I had played the game for only a few weeks and achieved adamant set. I gave a random guy full addy, because he promised to trim it for free. He said he had to go to a members world to do it, so he logged out and told me to wait for a few minutes. After a while, he actually came back and gave an Addy (g) -set back and I was so I hyped I was shaking. Later that day I talked to my older cousin who was a hardcore player at the time, and told him what happened. He didn't believe me for a secnd and said I was lying. I showed him the set and he knew there was no way I could have bought that expensive shit yet. He told me the guy probably just messed with me and gave it for the lulz. I've never forgetten that day and I still owe that guy big time. Too bad I never wrote down his name.
