Eco-home for Kalambe family is a project that respects traditional practices in design in order to achieve optimum comfort in terms of natural light, ventilation and natural beauty. The project thus involves careful planning, methodologies and material usage to work closely with climate and sustainability. Thus, this home design is a combination of breathing materials such as clay, terracotta bricks and tiles, reclaimed set of wooden furniture, glass and tiles, Mangalore pitched roofing with construction technologies such as filler slab, exposed brick work and orientation of the built keeping sun path as the primary focus. The proportions of the overall architecture design are also well taken care of in terms of the construction height, balance of negative- positive spaces and brickwork composition in elevation design with minimalist interiors to suit their traditional way of living which suits the sustainable lifestyle. All and all its a beautiful and affordable traditional residence design for Kalambe family.
