Whatup yall, In this video I make a fire melodic beat with nothing but stock FL Studio plugins only. The only exception is the drums (which are also free and widely available).
I used nothing but stock fl studio plugins for many years when I began my beat making journey back in 2008, and thought it would be fun to revisit my roots. This video is excellent for beginner FL Studio producers as well as advanced users.

I own keyscape, omnisphere, analog labs, and pigments, as well as some kontakt banks, but I still go back to flex a lot of the time. I love the purple lullaby preset a lot. Especially for some smooth chords to layer with a Rhodes and fender picked bass!

yoo I do! I actually make and use my own. I recommend going through your beats and exporting your fav hh patterns to midi in one folder. I usually drag and drop then modify them as needed. Other than that I've only bought 1 hh midi kit and that was from VGN a while back.

You should go ahead and download the free flex packs. The guitar pack is pretty good. The piano pack has a good rhodes. Kind of different sounding than most.

Bro, how did you set FL Studio up to paint the notes that you played instead of recording into waveform? I've been trying to find this out for years and no one will tell me.

@@heksgekd988 Yeah, or record into wave form so that I can't even edit what I played. But someone finally told me. Right click the record button up top, deselect Audio, and enable Record to step sequencer. You'll have to manually switch it back when it's time to do vocals, I think, but that'll get that desired method so that it can be finetuned.
