Brilliant video Clive. Subscribed. Returning to my hometown of Fleetwood, and to resume beach fishing and nightlining. Didn't know you could buy the breakaways for DIY weights...This and the bait pump video has been invaluable. Thank you very much :) Best wishes.
Ikr even those stupid mirror lure 3/8 jig heads which seems to work the best for speckled trout with mirror lures 6" eel and they call the color black and gold Walmart only sells them and hard to find and they are trout killers like that they have a chartrose tail. I made some similar found some clear eels or tubes with black and gold glitter color and dipped the tails in different lengths and found out the dipped tails they only like the ones with a certain amount of chartrose colors 1/16 inch of chartrose they like the best not the standard 3/16 that mirror lure does which it works but the short length catches way more it's crazzy I know but specs are picky eaters and picky how the bait moves swims and speeds depending on time of day month and time of year it's crazzy
@@diycp1976 Thanks for a great video, I have tried to find the threaded base on E Bay but no luck at all. Might you be kind enough to provide a link or what it was you searched for please?
No it will not because of two main reasons one lead merely canot stick to other metals without a specific process and the other reason is thta when you mold any metal or lead it will shrink by 2% after cool down so there's not contact or bond remaining between two metals
Not the safest way to make lead weights. Open to accidents, no pre-warming, holding tin off lead with pliers pouring at poor angle, also using plastic coated gloves. Not your best film. But your bait pump spot on and works well . More vacuum with 2 washers. Ps get a ladle safest way to pour lead.
