I did A Christmas (Vintage) book and pieces together a Christmas stocking. It's darling and I'd show it to you but don't know how to send it. Lol. Old ladies and technology!

I'm a new subscriber and have been binge watching your channel for days now. I have a few questions and I hope you don't have a Q&A video that I missed. 🤣 Why do you use Fabri-Fix glue when working with paper? Is it archival safe or is that something you don't worry about? I am curious the color of Distress Ink you're using in this video to age and stamp your images, and last but not least; you used a alphabet stamp set to stamp a Tim Holtz book plate, I forgot what it said 🤦‍♀️, but it was red pieces lined up in a row in a holder. I have at least a half dozen other questions, but I hate to overwhelm you! If you have a "favorite products" page or store please let me know and I'll be happy to shop the links. Thanks for all the fun and for reading my novella!

Awesome!!!!! Digging out my scraps today. This would also look great as a 12x12 scrapbook page. Had to laugh when you were cutting it down to size and couldn't decide which side to cut off - my OCD side would have cut some off each side LOL.

Thank you for inspire this poem in my own language Spanish, so this is the Google translation. I call them SKIN PAPER. AMATL, AMATE, PAPEL Your beautiful skin in colors ... delights my eyes, Your textures, hand/sewing machine stitches whispering ... feel my skin. Me, paper skin, let my paper skin...run, let it run through your whole being, and in this hug of yours and mine, You will feel my mother's love, You will feel my father's love, Tree ... Tree that gives Life !. I am his son! I am her daughter! Life, Blood, Life ...! They call me AMATL / AMATE / PAPEL, I am Always ready, I am always set in calm or in droves, To write on me, words that are for the soul...food, and you are my brother, my creative sister, your hands of love help me to be clothed. Amatl, amate, paper with a new skin ... that at this moment emerges, Outcrop, blooms my PAPER SKIN.

I thought it was a child saying, "Hi-i-i-i". So precious your cat is talking to the sunlight coming through the door! Cats love to lie in the sun.... maybe that's why she is saying "Hi-i-i-i-" to the sun! So adorable!

@NiktheBooksmith

I guess it would depend on the journal...once I get them into a book, the book's personality takes over and a page will either get more or will be left alone. But they are pretty fab looking without any extra fussing =)

Those untamed threads are getting me to be a bit nutzy!!! EEEEK. OK. I feel better now! I really love doing these pages ..."Franken-pages". But what do with them after you get them done? I have only done some smash/slam/slop smoosh/ books.. I am not sure what to do with them... I have given some away.. I am not sure they are appreciated as much as I like them. But it is ok too.. It is theirs to do with what they choose... that is the fun part of giving gifts.. once it is out of my hands it is out of my mind. None the less I do not want to give people things they deem as crap. Sigh.... now what?

Loved these pages. I have tons of scraps and I'm looking for ideas. Yours are fabulous! A protocol question: I notice throughout your video, and other videos as well, that when a Tim Holtz item is used, it is mentioned as a Tim Holtz item. However, that is not the case with other items used. I didn't hear you mention where/who about the stamps or the ink. Are crafters "technically/legally" suppose to mention when they are using a Tim Holtz product or is it simply something crafters do for other reasons? Thank you!

Hi Nik! I've been MIA on watching videos, etc. This is very cool! I noticed "junker" right away. I kind of feel that I'm turning into one. I need to go through your vids to see what I've missed. I bought two shadow boxes at Hobby Lobby! You inspired me to make one using things that remind me of my mother who passed away December 31, 1991 at the age of 55. Can't wait to work on it. Hugs from a very dry NM.

I love your 'Franken' pages. They're really amazing & look so great! You've given me a great idea if you don't want to sew. Just cut some pages out with zig-zag scissors & go around them with pens to give a 'stitched' look. I have an old sewer that's more trouble to use so I may have to try it out.

I'm new to your channel. I'm wondering if all the 8x10 franken- pages that you make are mainly used as book covers, as you showed in this video, or do you cut them up for tags, cards and ephemra? Maybe they are too thick foe ephemra? Do you ever make a stash of franken-pages to have on hand? Thanks for taking time to answer questions for a new subscriber
