These Granny Square pants are actually really easy to make they just take a little bit of time. I hope that you all enjoyed this video and that it inspired you to make some of your own. Hello! I’m currently trying to make a pair of granny square pants for myself and using the ones you made as a sort of blueprint, and I was wondering if you know how wide the waistband is with just the granny squares and no decreasing stitches? I have a much wider waist and I’d like to know if I should prepare myself for making the pants in rows of 4 instead of 3 like yours. Even just knowing the size when laid down flat helps

Thank you! I used four different colors. for the green, light brown, and white I used a little less than one for each. for the dark brown, I used around one and three quarters. Hope that makes sense and hope that helps!

Since you enjoy making granny squares you should make a granny square blanket or a continuous granny square blanket.

I am trying to make a pair of shorts for my husband using closed granny squares. I'm guessing that you just see up so far for the crotch area? When everything is sewn together, do you add on your yarn for the waist and the start decreasing? One more question please (I'm sorry). How do you make the drawstring? Is that a separate piece and you sew it in the waist somehow? Thank you so much. I really enjoyed watching this video and I'm sorry for all of the questions. ❤️

I sewed the squares together but you can also use a slip stitch. The waste band takes a bit of trial and error to be honest. What I did was three rows of double crocheted and I decreased as needed.

I just used a needle and sewed them together. Put your needle through one loop of crochet in one square and another loop of crochet in the other square and repeat. Hope that helps. You can also crochet slip stitch if that is easier.

Based off of what was shown, yes. The lions brand big twist might be a mix of majority acrylic, but you should be fine using exclusively acrylic

Yeah! There just a basic granny square but with the colors change the first row the second row and the fifth row!

7x7 across all the squares would add quite a lot in total. You could maybe stitch together with a different stitching to add size. Or add a row of double down the leg seems which would look cool.
