Making Great Title Text for a Book Cover

Thank you so much. I use Gimp instead of Photoshop and was able to do most of this with that software. Then I fudged my way through the rest of it and got a pretty decent result.

For some reason, my photoshop doesn't have all those textures/patterns yours has. I have water, trees, and grass. I've tried googling it and I'm not having any luck. Where'd you get all the ones you were looking through? Great video! Thank you so much for the awesome explanations of everything-- this was super helpful! I'm just missing that step :)

don't you need illustrator for typography design and indesign for assembling all of that together?

Where do you recommend getting fonts at for book covers? I went on photoshop to follow along, and didn't have that font, or metallic texture for the font.

Hi David, thank you for your video. Question, what do you use (shortcut?) to get an alternative style for a letter while you are typing while using the type tool? I'm using CC2020 and for me it shows alternatives while hovering over a letter after having selected a letter. I like shortcuts so hence my question. I tried looking it up but could not find it so quickly. Thanks.
