It is a Shame this has Only 600-something likes, Which has real Art, Craft, Dedication, Skill, History, I mean that and so much more going on yet a Goofy Drama filled, Mind-numbing, brain cell killing, Nudity riddled, Ignorant spreading and just plain stupid videos and youtube channels like Logan Paul or something are FAMOUS and viewed like crazy with kids wanting to do and be like what they see in those HORRIBLE Videos while videos like this are far and few with little views likes and interaction compared to the brain killing videos. It is SAD!!! This modern era is SAD!!!. Thank you for this wonderful education ENTERTAINING Video.
I wrote almost the same thing under another video but t it was saying how happy I was it had so many views instead of the craziness you spoke of. So there is hope that ok thers will see and he will get more views. There are still folks looking for good entertainment that don't like to watch garbage
Watching this was pure joy for me. I cannot believe the patience and skill making these shoes took. What artistry!!! Thank you for taking the time to film this and the camera angles were wonderful. You're amazing!!!
wow you are such a tallented man. i did not know all the skill that went into these shoes. thank you for making this video for us. i really hope you are passing this skill down the generations.
I'm supposed to be making pens but I can't pull myself away from this video. The skill and patience is captivating. Also, the measuring, marking and cutting techniques apply not only to shoemaking, but to so many other crafts, it's truly a learning experience. I'm glad to see this generations-old skill is recorded and shared with the world. This, to me, is what makes RU-vid such a valuable resource, and why I'm not getting any pens made.
I fell in love with hand crafted clothing, furniture, shoes, and whatnot because of drums. When I was a kid growing up in New York I played the drums. On 52nd street in Manhattan there were music shops lined up and down the street. At one end was a drum store that made custom drums. You could see them making the drums and I was fascinated. To see something I loved being made from raw materials. It got me thinking about how things were made. I think it's great that in this day and age when things are made simply by someone pushing a button on an assembly line machine that there are still people that hand make things like others have done for hundreds, sometimes thousands of years in the past. The knowledge and skill that's been past down through the generations. It's nice seeing traditions stay alive in a fast food age. Great video!!!!!!!!
I am convinced that children have a natural onclination to work with their hands. It leads to great creativity. Problem is: Every teacher in the Universe rewards children for being able to master "mathematics," and the rest are labeled academic failures. No one caters to us "right-brainers" who have an absolutely distinct learning style, but are the first to go to Special Ed. I just wonder where all those creators of the Harlem Renaissance would have ended up if Core standards had been implemented. That's for future advocacy and discussion.
This sort of craftmanship is very hard to find these days and should be relished by those refined enough to appreciate the skill shown here. Don't worry that 'the many' will skip by choosing instead to watch the videos that Chris Mik's World describes.... Leave them to their sphere. The rest of us can watch these videos and appreciate the phenomenal skills on display here and enjoy to their hearts content. Thank you Terry Kim.... you are truly a master of your art.
Yeah! The whole series! I try to save all to watch as I love clothing etc being handmade. We had an old cobbler in walking distance and he had that awful smelling glue, but it was just wonderful that he just let me sit near him and watch and he explained every step of a repair. Thank You for sharing your talent with us. Greetings and admiration from Texas, USA 🤠
I had to remember to breathe whilst watching this!! Vicarious pleasures come at a price..... In addition to Mr Kim, who's skill and dedication can't be justified with superlatives - I'd like to thank the universe for making me time rich... I don't think I could afford such shoes, but hope the owner treasures them.. To all the people who watched the video in its entirety - you make the world spin on its axis.
There, I’ve watched this video front to back and it was worth every minute. I’m getting ready to make my first pair of hand welted boots and your video has really helped me with the process and you have some unique to you techniques that I will try. Thank you Master!
Hey Kim! You’re such a great inspiration to me and millions of people out there. I’m a new follower of you and your work has been a huge blessing to me ❤ you’re the best KiM!
Excellent workmanship even machine can't make this pair of shoes and this gentleman had made it with so much precision and hard work he didn't made a single mistake in making the shoes very very Excellent job I salute to him(watching from INDIA)
I never knew how SKILLED shoemaking is . I mean proper fitted shoes. I made the first half of my comment but after watching the FULL 2:31 I can say this is probably the most SKILLED CRAFTSMAN I have ever seen .
First 1 hour 10 minutes you can see that dude have skills, but WTF he just made?!? But then, he goes in 5 gear and do the Shoes, real Shoes....and exceptionally good ones. Yep, this dude is legit!
I wonder if you apprenticed for 20 years...just the whole formative process seems amazing and perfect...surely not all students turn into the genius you have become...all I can do is watch what knowledge is provided and be in awe of each little step and then each step as a whole... sorry to blather on, for words cannot express my feelings of respect, and even admiration... I don't say that lightly... Blessings
Loving every minute of this long format video. Here in the USA, when we take a picnic, we leave the work in the workshop. But, couldn’t find a better day to go work outside in a beautiful landscape. Keep safe.
Wow!!!! What an amazing skill. I would love to make shoes like that. What an amazing talent. I was spell bound, but feeling ripped off of my real education. Thank you so much for your wonderful video. May Gid bless you and your family always.
Ots so impressive to watch someone so dedicated to their craft create wearable works of art from base materials. This way a joy and very satisfying to watch. You just got a sub good sir!
Very nice work sir. I saw the thumbnail and loved the overall shape but especially the color of the shoes so I had to watch you make them. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for the really detailed and entertaining video. I really enjoyed the craftsmanship you've displayed. Can I also ask what watch you were wearing in the video? It looks very nice!
After watching this I don't think you charge enough for your shoes. (I did some research) They are beautiful, you are an extremely gifted artisan. ❤ I would think that this art would be fraught with arthritis. 😔
у меня чуть сердце не выскочило из груди, когда он начал разрезать туфли...уникальная работа... не представляю сколько могут стоить такие туфли, но это такая кропотливая работа, что не жалко никаких денег.
Hey Kim, you have made me want to try my hand at a pair - sure i would never measure up to yours but how do you determine the extra material to place on the Last when starting?
