Really enjoyed this video. Such a huger amount of work is involved in farming. I think most people have no idea what it takes to keep food on our tables. Welding gets better and better with practice. The equipment always seems to find a way to let you know it is important by breaking in the middle of the project. Thanks for sharing.
I just placed an order for half a cow to ensure we have meat over the next year and at a reasonable price. I would think some of your subscribers would be willing to order from you so meat sales might be a good idea.
we have some hay tedders they cracked the frames we know they were lite what we wanted to do with it one winter build a new frame, in general, it works we working out the bugs in the program will flix with the ground so don't run the racks in the ground
Good job, young man, and lady! Excellent camerawork. It must be nice to farm on land that is so flat. You had a beautiful day that day. Love those clouds! Be sure to wear plenty of full spectrum, SPF 30 or better, sunscreen. The sun is more intense, these days. I'm thinking there are probably plenty of videos on RU-vid on welding, that you can check out to learn some tricks to the skill. Subscribed!
Your video isn't spead up your going way to fast for the pto. Yeah it's short but lks thickish. Try going slower. 15 1700 rpm. 500 rto not 1000. Blades are turning while hitting the grass there's not enough cintriffical force to kp them out.
Nice video guys...Love the music and the drone shots. It's great you can fix all the breakdowns, lots of talent. I am trying to get the word out on other RU-vid channels. Wishing you all the best.
Nice to see Sis getting some air time. It's nice to see you all working together to accomplish task to help the family in general. Everybody has a job to do and it's all getting done. Those hay fields of yours sure look pretty lush in the drone shots.
Truly enjoyed seeing your sister Seth. She bring a refreshing helpful experience to the channel. Love to see more interaction with the family. Have you our Momma D thought of getting a PO Box in your shows name so we can send you gifts? Excellent visuals and yes your talents show from mechanical to welding. It takes good practice to be proficient in welding. Russell in Houston,Texas
No need to apologize for the ads, that’s how youtube works. Might want to remind subscribers what they need to do (such as actually watching the ads) to help.
Sorry you're having troubles but you're obviously handling them like a champ. Miss the smell of new mown hay. (Not loading square bails on a wagon by hand though lol)
So I disabled my ad blocker for RU-vid and rewatched your vlog. The first ad that popped up was for an ad blocker app. That kinda says RU-vid is using you to their advertisers benefit and doesn't care a rats behind about you. It was sad to see the tedder On the chain like that. When you said it was on its' last legs you weren't kidding. Good to see Sister and Moms' hand in the video. Taking up the slack!
You just never know what the day will bring! The mown hay looks pretty darn good. What amount of hay do you hope to get off the fields? Do you get more than one cutting? Glad to see Sister found the young stalk...it looked like they were looking for her.
Another great video. Thanks for taking the time to film, edit and post. Its great having sister as part of the videos! Oh man, I just hate when equipment breaks out in the field. I'm afraid I'd be says a whole string of words that aren't suitable for RU-vid.
Good positive attitude. Thanks for all the info we would never get without you. Amateur welding . Is prettier better? I sure don't know, but you got it done and running on that tedder and that is what counts!
Breakdowns like that have got to be aggravating! You handle it a lot better than I would. Prob be a lot of !BLEEP!-!BLEEP!-!BLEEPING!-!BLEEP! pressure-venting if it was me...
You don't feel mowing alfalfa w/out crimper hurts in any way. We have diskbine and at the time I was having trouble deciding which way to go w/ alfalfa/grass.
I see that you have some lovely Internationals and Case tractors and that you have invested in a modern Kubota and to be honest I quite understand why you have made the switch.!!...Really enjoy your videos.
You weather forecast isn't too different than ours. Our daytime temps are in the low 70's and a heavy dew at night. Hard to get hay to dry with these conditions. When the next front comes through, 80's during the day and no dew at night so it will be "Go-Time" on hay here in southern Indiana.
If those mower blades are worn,,,not bent or cracked, you might resharpen them yourself and balance them in sets of two. Balance them with their own weight. Grind a bit off the heavier one and make pairs. If the steel is structurally sound you should be ok. I have been a mechanic and ironworker all my life and now I am a Blacksmith,,,, if that mower was mine, I would do this for myself. Great work, nice sound, wonderful drone footage. Just remember AOC has said that we don't need farms because we have grocery stores. Your farm has a farm store . Some really dumb people get elected, they could never farm. Keep up the good work.
Glad someone liked my comment. Seith replied that those blades are meant to be replaced, they do not cost very much. That is OK by me. It does take extra time and not everybody has the desire to repurpose just everything. I am not a farmer,,, those of us I this country that make a living from farming get my respect for their decisions.
Seth, maybe one of your very, very best videos for a lot of reasons but especially because it brought Sister directly into the operation! You have really great subs. Work with them, they want to work with you. Have you thought about a webcam in the chicken coops? People love to watch feeds like that - for hours, and they will pay to do it.
I farm in Ontario, Canada, around 4100 acres. Mostly Soy beans, Corn and a little Canola... But I also own a farm in Jasper county,Ia... And that farm is also 1 employee owned. And I subscribe to another young chap!! “SaskDutchKid...” And someone Suggested your channel on his site. In other words ,people complied with your request ... And it wasn’t me. But I will. Have a good week!!
Great video in a subject I have a love/hate relationship with - HAY! I am a summertime hay buckler on a friend's farm. Unload wagons and stack. Nice to see the ladies on the video today! Sorry about breakdowns, but looks like you have a great handle on them! We do our own welding repairs to our goat equipment, and it never matters how pretty it is, as long as the job gets done, it is a job well done! One more thing I have noticed since tour last video - the upgrade in confidence is amazing! Keep it up, keep 'em comin'!
That's how we do it in Alabama, get ready as possible, hit the fields if it breaks fix it as best as possible. Good make hay while the sun shines ! Won't be long now early spring in North East Alabama this year.
It sounded to me that you may have had the temperature to low set place temperature higher and go slower in welding. Place a peace steel 2 sides flat stock
