Making High Elves Short Sword inspired by LOTR and Warhammer

In this video I show How make High Elves short sword inspired by Lotr and Warhammer. There is no glue on this sword- everything is riveted or tightly fit up. This is my first attempt to engraving and gold inlay (brass actually).
Sword is made from spring steel (5160). It's heat treated to 58HRC. The ricasso "s grind" it's not my idea- I took it from great knifemaker Spencer Aplin (but it's my interpretation of the process).

Those handle scales are so cool. Lots of complex grinding on that build. Good job.

Great build, David! You only did the engraving on one side? It looked very complicated so I'm not surprised. Still on my list to try at some point! With builds like this, you're channel is going to expand very soon!

Thanks a lot! No- I've made it on both sides! I didn't thought engraving is so difficult- poor tools doesn't helped either (lol).. I'm definitely not a fan of starting course/workshop with zero experience but in this case I would say that this is better way. If you plan to make some engraving, try to find someone who can show you the basics- I've made some noob mistakes :P.. But still it was fun!
