For the Canada thing, we do have gas stations. They're just hard to find because we camofloge them by covering them in mapel syrup. We do this because the moose love drinking gasoline, but can't see mapel-syrup covered things because it blends into the natural habitat. We give our pet mooses (Meese?) gasoline in conservative amounts, but the wild messe will drink a whole gas stations worth in a matter of minutes, and that's also why gas is so expensive here.

About Amish people smiling- I'm from Ohio and my grandpa is a farmer. He'd often go down to Amish country and works with Amish people doing Farmer Business™ and he'd take his oldest, my dad, with him. The main guy he always worked with had a boy named Sam who would also get dragged along on Farmer Business™ and he and my dad actually ended up just going off and hanging out and doing stuff together. They actually became pretty good friends! One day when my dad was like 19 he was accompanying Papa on Farmer Business™ and when he saw Sam, he noticed he'd started rocking a beard. Now, in Amish Culture, a beard means that you're off the market and a married man. My dad saw that, immediately knew what had happened, and ran over and was like "OH DUDE YOU GOT MARRIED???? I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!" and clapped him on the back proud father-style and Sam smiled and started getting all shy and blushing because he drinks that "Totally Head over Heels in Love with My Wife" juice and started telling my dad about how great being married is. Absolutely adorable. So yeah, they do smile!! Just when they get to know you, though. They're just super duper introverted.

The amish staring rant is 👌😂 and not offensive at all because it's so true! I'm actually Mennonite and my grandparents grew up Amish. I can tell you that all Amish stare at EVERYONE. 🙈 I think it's because of a lack of social interaction with anyone different from themselves. I honestly disliked going to Amish areas as a child because of how much they stared. *And for those wondering, Mennonites can have all modern conveniences. I am a Christ believing, typical human being who usually wears skirts and some type of a head covering 😊

Dear Micarah, I just wanted to say, thank you! As a formerly homeschooled, Christian girl who loves sewing (albeit I have a talent for breaking machines, so I generally am required to sew by hand), history, large words, thrift store shopping, picking things up of the side of the road, dancing in public, chickens (I just got new pullets and I am so excited! They are so sweet! Honey is my favorite chicken daughter. I have had chickens or over a decade and these are so sweet), and Barbie Movies, I wanted to say that your channel inspires me. Your channel has inspired me to try to be more myself on future videos on my channel (which I am trying to start back up after a long hiatus), as well as to actually learn pattern making. As such, I have stocked up on many thrifted and estate-saled bed sheets and am currently working on my most ambitious project yet. I have only had 1 dress be wearable so far (the first two I made are not), but it's progress and I am learning more each time. I have been sewing and designing clothes for years but haven't made nearly as much progress as I should in making clothing that is actually properly wearable and looks good. You have inspired me to take the bull by the horns (except I don't have a bull) and really work to improve. So, Thank You! Micarah, you encourage me to just go for it. Even though I love the results of sewing, I hate the way most tutorials go about it; being so exact and thorough, it drives me insanely bored. But seeing you wing it, and trace yourself, and create such amazing things in so little time, it makes me want to try again without being so worried about getting it "perfect." I love seeing you cut corners (especially the zip ties hack, omg I've never been so inspired to try boning before). I know a lot of your success comes from years of practice, enabling you to improv so well, but it still makes me think I don't have to melt my brain in boredom to sew something I'm happy with. And now that I've seen literally the exact outfit I've always wished could be my daily wear-this pauper dress, chemise, bodice, and all-and seen how relatively easy it is to create, I'm gonna do it.
