Making Hydraulic Lift Table

The table was not built to lift heavy loads, but the structure seems to me to be able to withstand a load of 200kg or 300kg maximum, all depending on where the load will be placed, if the load will cover the whole table top I am sure the table will withstand even heavier loads. The construction of the hydraulically adjustable table was to relieve my back, and because it is easy to adjust the table, the work is much lighter and more comfortable. The force of the actuator is 10T, but such a force is not needed, better for such a construction would be a weaker actuator, so it would be much faster. The hydraulically adjustable table is very comfortable and versatile for work. We can carry out locksmithery, welding, assembly and repair work on the table. Thanks to the wide range of table adjustment we can lower it to insert the object and then raise it to a comfortable position. Thanks to the transport wheels, the table is mobile:)

Perfect work. It helps to keep the workers to hold their bodies in an ergonomic posture. Definitelly will build something like this. Thanks for sharing this know-how.

I made something pretty similar about 20 years ago for a friends dad. For work he reconditions classic car engines in his workshop. He has a 4 foot high 3 shelf racking running all along one wall. That's where the customers engines are stored while waiting their turn to be stripped and rebuilt, Or just waiting for the customer to come and pick the rebuilt unit up. Even in his late 40's he could still humph some pretty hefty engines onto that racking by himself, But age was creeping up on him. What I built used the same parallel links like you made, But had a drop step on the end that was big enough to pull an engine onto from the bottom shelf and move to a middle shelf so he could spin the table around and then drag the engine onto the main table section. I made large brass bushings and used ground rod (Cross drilled at the ends to take retaining pins) for all the pivots, And the ram came off an old engine hoist to lift the table. Worked bloody well considering it was 90% made of scrap metal I'd scrounged from work. :) In those 20 or so years I've only ever been asked to take a look at it once, And that was because with about 15 years of constant use it had worn all 8 brass bushings so much that the table top could be rocked 4" side to side on the slop. I made some more bushings, fitted new ground bar stock and added some grease nipples this time around. :D My mated dad will be hitting 70 in a couple more years, And when I asked if he had plans to retire any time soon I was told "Yes. When I hit 70 I've decided that I'm going to take life a bit easier........ So I won't be working on the weekends anymore". LOL ! Blokes a feckin' legend !

Useful ideas and great work. I have an old heavy duty chair recliner motor and gear im thinking of doing a similar thing with. It can lift me up no probs so should be fine for mowers and small engines etc. I was wondering how to do a parallel lift but this has sent me off the right way. Nice project for me and good ideas (casters etc)

I like these build videos that rapid speed the simple stuff. Always interesting. The workmanship is professional. Never seen this particular interesting design for a lift table. The frame is heavy duty for higher capacity, but I still rather go with a more traditional scissor design lift. Would like the table to lower closer to ground.

It is a great project. I hope it did as much fun building it as I had waching it. I would upgrade it in the future with a motor. It looks like it takes a huge amount of pedaling to completly lift. It is definetly a very useful thing in anyones workshop. Tks for sharing.

excellent video. I have the metal frame of a recliner lift, was wondering what i would do to mod it to go straight up vs up and tilt, and this shows the answer to the problem. won't need to change much at all, just where the lift motor and screw attach and toss a table on top.

Nice build and video. I did notice that the higher the tabletop got the more tilted it became. A suggestion: On the next Lift build you might want to go with a scissor design (X-configuration) with a screw drive. This will provide equal rise on both supports allowing the tabletop to remain level. Again, great work. Keep it up.

Great build. I recommend an air over oil hydraulic system so you can use your compressor to raise it with how much time it takes. Then you are more likely to adjust it every time you should rather than bagging it and doing without due to how long it takes to raise.

That’s about as fast as the first stage of a typical 3 stage tranny jack. The ones for under a lift, not those horrid on your back things. Ick. 3 years ago I put a 20hp electric over hydraulic unit in my shop with ports at 2 different spots in the shop. (Could easily put more but haven’t had the need yet). One of the better upgrades I’ve made

Thank you :) If I knew that it would be allowed to lift slowly, I would definitely install a pneumatically driven hydraulic cylinder. During construction, I thought that the position of the actuator at the end of the center of gravity would greatly speed up the lifting, I was wrong :(
