Hi! Kimbap is one of my favorite foods. I usually eat it with shrimp and avocado or salmon, cucumber and sesame seeds. I have noticed that koreans eat it with eggs as well but I've never tried it and I'm really curious what it tastes like. I haven't found a restaurant that has that option and I've never tried making it myself. I might as well give it a shot now!
Mommy Oh's kimbap are stuffed and looks so delicious!! My kimbap are always looking like it's on a diet cuz I don't put enough ingredients in it 😂Noted for next time!
I really enjoy the videos with you spending time with your Mum. So much love, tenderness and humour. Your Mum was so kind making extra kimbap for your friends. Tell her she's awesome.
I love the relationship they have ❤️ You can tell they both genuinely love and respect one another. They seem to actually enjoy being around each other not just because they are mother and daughter it’s nice to see.
I remember having a sleepover at my cousin's place, we made gimbap and we had such a hard time slicing that we just decided to have one whole roll each on our hands 😂 that was so satisfying!
Mam, I watch ur videos for 2 and 1/2 yrs. I'm from India Delhi and so happy that you visit india. Mam, I want to visit Korea once in my life. Pls make a video on how to travel in Korea with budget, please...lovelove
I miss all the Korean stores when I lived in Tacoma. Where I live now, there’s only 2 Korean stores and they’re not close 😕. I asked Hmart to bring stores to Florida lol
Love making kimbap yourself because you get to stuff it. Most vendors are cheap with it and make theirs with too much rice and not enough filling. Mommy Oh’s kimbap look so delicious!!
Lol miss Mina you should name this show cooking with mummy oh. You really should keep doing it even when this pandemic is over. I love learning how to make food from Korea as the food is good and unique in its own way. Love you miss Mina and mummy oh❤️❤️❤️
I've tried making kimbap a couple of times because it's just so delicious, but I always have trouble cutting it. I also haven't put the sesame oil on it at the end, so will do that next time for sure! Love seeing Mommy Oh's recipes.
I was introduced to kimbap when I taught conversational English in Seoul. I was invited to many picnics where I came to really enjoy it. To this day I will gobble down way more than I should, mostly because I purchased it as takeout from a Korean restaurant and didn’t put in the time to make it. It’s not that difficult so I should endeavor to make my own in the near future. Thnx for the tips!!
Thank you for showing us how to make kimbap step by step. When I went to Korea, I tried all the different types of kimbap and it was so yummy. I will definitely try your recipe.
I show your videos a lot in my class. Too bad everything is online now. I really want show this : ) 유트브에 한국 영상이 지금처럼 많지 않았을 때 일주일에 한 번은 보여줬던 것 같아요!. 고맙습니다.!!!!
I love kimbap! I always get it at the Korean grocery store or wherever I can find it. Could you do an episode on the Korean ... blood sausage? I think that’s what it’s called. I believe it’s made with rice mixed into the sausage filling and may be a holiday food. I’ve only had it once, but so delish!
Sushi came first though! There are some differences too. Sushi uses sushi rice, kimbap uses short grain rice. Sushi rice is seasoned with sugar, salt and mirin or rice wine vinegar where kimbap rice is just salted and seasoned with sesame oil. Also you don't see pickled ginger, soy sauce or wasabi with kimbap! :)
Helloooo..i love the way you describe every single detail of the food..i request you to come to south india which has lot of different kind of flavours and food..you will love it for sure..we are expecting more videos from you in this lockdown period..🤗
This video is so helpful every time I tried to make kimbap I over stuffed it and it wouldn’t stick together well and when I tried to cut it into pieces it all fell apart. But now I know the proper techniques. Thanks!
