That new beveler is off the chain! Lavender is my favorite scent, but I have never made lavender soap 🙁These videos are really looking amazing too. Do you think the rice bits could be left on purpose as an exfoliating agent? Or maybe to hard/sharp?
Hey! Yes once you get the hang of the beveler it works good but it has it's pros and cons. Lavender Essential Oil is one of my go to essential oils for soaps that I am trying to make as "all natural" as possible. Used sparingly it gives off a great scent when bathing with it. But if you use too much UGH! That is one scent that's unforgiving if too much is used like Rosewater! Not to mention it's EXPENSIVE! The rice most likely is acting as a gentle exfoliant but once I boil/steep the rice until soft then strain I don't think there is much left of the rice to still be really course or hard. I guess you could add courser rice as an exfoliant but I would rather add something additional to the soap for exfoliation than count on the rice for it. Plus you got to think about how it will break down and dissolve in the shower. I actually would rather add something like salt and make a rice milk salt bar...something like that. Hope I didn't confuse you. I appreciate you being first to the punch and watching the video...lol! I literally just uploaded it! You are awesome!
Thanks so much! I did different amounts of rice milk in each and it definitely made a difference in the outcome. The video would have been too long if i showed each recipe so I chose one and showed the different soap outcomes! Yes! those bubbles were plentiful in the lather! LOL!
