Last week I spent some time in the shop making 3 inch leather stamps. They are not pretty but they work and are a lot cheaper than paying someone to make a custom stamp this large.
I am always working on building something and try to average a RU-vid video once a week. Most often leather work, but I have also posted videos on black smithing, knife making, casting, and even how I make soap. Be sure to Subscribe if you are interested in any of these topics, or just making things in general.

Sir, you are amazing. I love the fact that your talent and skill set surpasses probably 95% of your viewers, but you keep things on a level that the working man can relate with mostly basic tools. Not everyone can afford Barry King exclusive tools. You are awesome and your work is top notch.

I'm really impressed! Some time ago I needed to stamp some leather patches (about 2 dozen) that were 2.5 inches. The cost for a custom die was prohibitive. I tried making stamps but they wouldn't work. We ended up silkscreening. It didn't look the best but it worked Ok. Looking at what you came up with I can see where I went wrong. Thanks!

Did you try sandcasting? At least you wouldn't break your molds during the pours.

I tried to use sand with a 3d printed positive. Couldn't get the sand to release from the plastic. Pulled out the entire background area behind the wolf. I did consider making a silicone mold to cast wax pieces for some lost wax casting but went this route instead.

Really like your videos but the audio is all over the place. When you talk I have to turn the volume all the way up but literally any other sound is so loud I have to turn the video off. Hope you can fix it soon.

Durability. They are intended to be used for hundreds of impressions with a hydraulic press. The brass one is being used as a branding iron. Nylon or fiber reinforced plastics might work for the press, but for the one that is going to be in a campfire it wouldn't. Even the zinc alloy cannot handle enough heat to burn a brand in leather.
