I am so happy you decided to create these customs, I just started out myself and my first ever custom is turning out ok but I'm having a few problems. I'm not sure whether it's the paint I use but I find it hard to evenly paint a layer, any tips? You are my main inspiration to paint customs and thank you for those tutorials you've made, they've helped me a ton and I'd love to see more behind the scenes stuff like this.
Awesome dude! Glad ya got started! It sounds like you’re running into bumpier layers rather than “uneven” ones? I use the rounded bottom of a pushpin to smooth things over before going over those bits with paint again. If it’s the actual designs you’re painting on that are uneven - then I can’t stress enough the importance of using very tiny bits of paint as you go. Also keep constantly eyeballing everything to make sure your alignments are looking right ✅
Oh, thank you! I'm trying to make a custom tobey maguire suit for a video, I already have the other 2 spider-man suits so I don't need to customize those.
The progress on the Integrated Suit looks so amazing. I can’t wait to see this figure when it is fully completed. Being able to hear you talk about your progress and plans for Andrew’s and Tobey’s suits is just so incredible and something that just a year ago I would have never thought we would be able to see and hear. And it’s so exciting to hear your plans for all the villains too, I can’t wait to see some of your progress on them. But until then, take as much time as you need to make your customs. And remember “You are amazing.” - Peter 2
Good choice going with the classic goblin. It’s a brilliant bit of costume design and can’t wait to see you it. Would be cool if you could do the xenomorph style double mouth the goblin has when he opens his mouth plate in Spider-Man 1
The integrated suit looks great so far Ross! Also when you were talking about Sandman, I have no idea if the "natural elements" means that you're gonna try gluing actual sand to the figure, but if you do just try to make sure that each sand grain or whatever is glued on. because when I made my NWH Sandman custom I used real sand for his arm and the first time not all the sand grains were glued on so most of them just fell off and it looked ugly so I had to redo it and the second time it looked much better.
Dude, if u wanna finish a project, pay all lego attention to that 1 project. Dont do other projects and finish one at a time. Because if u work on Dare Devil and Stuff you might end up with another Avengers Endgame Project except It is NWH
I was so excited for Shamrock Green Goblin then I realised that even if I smoothened the helmet to make it more NWH like, Norman is still using a completly different glider design and now I'm unsure what to do because I really want to make that Goblin. I like the classic Goblin better too, but I loved the metallic colour scheme on his armor when he first appeared in NWH and that is what I'd like to recreate. Even though I probably am gonna end up sculpting everything and ordering a Goblin helmet because as a student, my wallet would really badly suffer from buying Shamrock kit😅
Dude im so excited for your Spider Man No Way Home figures and I mostly excited to see how Green Goblin and Doc Ock will turn out man, last year I made 6 figures to celebrate the release of the movie and they turned out so well and I know their going to be some of your best work To date and I think you’ll be able to pull of the other figures you have planned good luck Ross👍🏻
I've been calling it ever since this first *_No Way Home_* project video: the sixth villain will be Mysterio. He's literally responding for this film being a thing in-universe.
Hello. I would Love to try to make a Tobey, Andrew, and Tom as costoms. I made the advanced suit for Tom and I will try to do the integraded suit now. Thx for inspiration.
This looks neat! I made my own custom, by modifying the lego Iron Spider torso decals, and then posting them onto my Minifigures using labels. Turned out great! I made Peter 1, 2, and 3! Can't wait to see your figures, they li to really look AMAZING!!! I totally intended that pun 😏😎👍
cool! i was arranging my minifigs for a no way home theme, then i noticed this dominant color: green goblin - green mysterio - green doc ock - green sandman - green electro - green lizard - green vulture - green i wonder why i didnt notice this before. green are just attracted to spidey. it's almost like spidey hates veggies.
I don’t care how long i have to wait for the final project. If it take a long time then i understand why and i’m patient and good luck ross🤘 you are amazing
I dont know if im speaking for most people or not, but i dont think you need to do lizard and sandman, and would much rather see you make moon knight/ wanda/ loki/ sersi/ shang chi/ kate bishop or someone you may have missed
Your channel has been a central part of my enjoyment of the Lego Customizer community since 2013, so it's great to see that you are now ready to make some of the best figures of your career for one of the best marvel movies ever made!. It'll be great.
@@MGFCustoms Yeah, my first video of yours I ever saw was the Iron Man 3 showcase. At the time, those customs utterly blew my mind. The details were more than I'd ever seen before really. It's kind of amazing that you still manage to grow so much from that, especially the new Boba Fett just fried my brain. Those 3D elements are marvellous and the paint job is a joy.
