"They resembled very closely their undead cousin, except perhaps being just a bit more slender and ghost-like. The stench of death and rot lingered around their undead forms. Ghasts were also far more deadly and cunning than ghouls, with their paralytic touch dangerously affecting their opponents, except elves."

Love the videos and all of your sculpts! Do you think in the future you could make a video on clothing similar to how you made the cloth for this figurine. Keep up all the great work you are truly an inspiration!

Really glad to hear that, thank you! Yes I would probably do a video on accessoires (adding armor, cloth and stuff) If you're interested in it I currently stream the making of a new miniature where I blocked out the body in the last stream and will continue with the rest of the model including accessoires in the next streams (next one will be this sunday again)

Amazing job :). I like your sculpts. I learn lot from them. I like your workflow e.g. from skull to face, how to sculpt eyes. Thanks to this video I will try block method because this week I started to learn torso anatomy. Can you make some tutorials about blocking base mesh? It would be really helpful. I don't mind about that kind of comercials.

Hey Fynn! I love your work! Dreaming that one day I will get in this level! Right now everything that I do looks kinda "fake", dont know why ... Any tips? Anyway, thx!

Hey Thank you very much! I think the broad answer would be to don't worry too much about that in the beginning and just keep practicing. It will get better :D But I would recommend to focus on the big shapes the most especially where one shape transitions into the other (like the neck into the head and torso) and make sure that the transition is really clean. Sometimes that means that there is a sharp edge (on the eyelids for example) and sometimes specific arcs (is it convex or concave). Don't focuse on fine details in the beginning (skinpores and stuff) since this is fairly easy to get well once the primary and secondary shapes work. Hope it helps!

Hello Fynn, thank you for making these videos! I am have been trying to learn Zbrush on and off, your workflow on character sculpt are really inspiring. I have a question regarding IMM Primitives. After you make a new shape, how do you quickly switch back and forth between shapes created (2:11)? Thanks a ton! (Are there some tutorials you absolutely recommend for character sculpt?)

I figure it out, thanks! "Quick One-Touch Masking of Polygroups Simply press W or click the Move button and then Ctrl+Shift+click on any PolyGroup. All other groups will immediately be masked."

@@kevinhtlin Glad you like the videos! Regarding the tutorials I would say check out 2D channels as well because they have quite a lot of value regarding the fundamentals. When it comes to anatomy I would say: proko (youtube), rafael grassetti's anatomy course(gumroad), anatomy for sculptors (book)

@@FynnGB That's a great advice. I actually really enjoy studying anatomy! Thank you for the resources. Based on your video, I now sculpted full body sculpt! I am now trying to figure out how to do hair and clothing. They seem to be different beasts to tackle!

@@kevinhtlin yeah they are quite challenging as well! Sinix here on youtube just recently released a tutorial on hair, maybe that's helfpul as well (it's for painting though) All the best! :)

You can use the default dynawax128 project in the lightbox menu and then just dial down the wax modifier down to around 20-30 and you will have the exact same matcap that I use most of the time

How did you get the scale? Does Zbrush handle that?
@FynnGB
@FynnGB 4 года назад
Yes it's a plugin (that is installed by default) called 3D printing hub where you can define the scale of the bounding box for the export of the .stl
