Working towards new collections and horizons, today I am making and experimenting with Mitsuro Hikime wax.
Mitsuro Hikime is an ancient Japanese wax making technique that creates a truly unique type of wax.
This wax creates beautiful ridges and wrinkles that mimic natural form
I absolutely love the beauty and elegance this wax can bring to the simplest forms.
Join me today as I experiment with Mitsuro wax recipes and experiment with a few forms and prototypes.
You might remember me introducing you to ring beautiful jewellery making technique in last week's video on my top 5 Favourite Alternative, Understated and Unique engagement rings!

It's my pleasure, sorry for the late reply but RU-vid was holding all my comments for review and I never saw them, silly me! But I use a 1 to 1 ratio of bee's wax and pine resin and 5-7% of that total weight in red wax :) hope this helps :)

Thank you so much ! I’m wondering what do you mean by 5% ? How can I mesure it’s like a few tablespoon ? Is it 5% of the total ? I’m a bit confused :)

Basically you weight the total weight of the other 2 waxes together and then calculate 5% of that total weight :)

@@lornaromanenghijewellery506 Where does the red wax come from or how can I find it? I search for it but I'm not shure I found the right one.

I use Ferris #6 red wax which you can order from Cooksonsgold if you are based in the UK, but there are loads of other suppliers too, it's a big tub of which you will only need a tiny amount so it will last you a lifetime, and you can experiment with it in other ways too :) hope this helps
