During our stay in Abu Dhabi, celebrating Father’s Day with my friends from Nagaland was an unforgettable experience. We spent the day together making dumplings, known as Momos back home. The kitchen echoed with laughter and chatter as we chopped onions and mince pork, kneaded dough, and skillfully rolled it into thin, delicate layers. Each of us took turns filling the dough with a savory mixture of meat and spices, meticulously folding them into the traditional Momo shape.
As we worked, memories of home flooded in, blending seamlessly with the joy of creating something special in a new place. The aroma of steaming Momos filled the air, reminding us of family gatherings and celebrations back in Nagaland. Sharing these moments with my friends in Abu Dhabi made the occasion even more meaningful, bridging cultures and traditions over a shared love for good food and cherished memories. This Father’s Day in Abu Dhabi will forever hold a place in our hearts as a time of laughter, friendship, and the comforting taste of homemade Momos.
