Thank you very much for that amazing video! I can see you put a lot of thought and work into it. It was so helpful and I really appreciated the little quick tips for preparing the designs! I will incorporate a lot of your tips in my work.
Wow I came across your vid by error and I'm so glad. Thanks to you I now have a better understanding of what microstocks are all about and what selling on them actually entails. You covered the requirements, pros , cons and advice in points with examples along side so one could really understand what you're talking about. Thanks so much. I'm definitely subbing and look forward to more content like this!
This is great information. Over my career I have worked up so many concepts, illustrations and designs that weren't used but were still successful. This is perfect for me to review & update past ideas. Great project for now when the economy has collapsed. No, this is not a prime source for income but it ADDS to your already established income. Great advice especially if you've been in the business for awhile. Thank you!
Thank your for this video. Pretty simple, but at the same time detailed and complete. I'm a Graphic Designer, but I really want to work as a full-time illustrator, I think those stock illustrations could be a nice beginning. Well done, sir! Kudos for your time and effort!
Thank you very much. In fact I was thinking of selling my art work but didn’t know how. This video has full description. As always your videos are very useful.
Hay Martin! Thanks for such an insightful and comprehensive content. I am a noob graphics designer (exploring the industry at a late age though 😊😋), and I found your video very very helpful. Plz do keep up making such nice contents that is precise yet very much understandable. Oh! Last but not the least, I can't watch YT videos more than 1-2 mins by fast forwarding. But this video made me enthralled. Again, thanks for sharing your experience. 👍🏼👏🏼
Thanks for the great advice. I agree to most of the things you mentioned and your video was quiet helpfull to me. Thanks again for the knowledge and creating this amazing video.
Hey, I have a question - is fanart sellable? For example, I draw a lot of characters from games, cartoons etc. in my own style of course, and I was wondering are those types of work legal to sell ? Or should I avoid fanart ? Great video btw, I just subbed :D
you might want to repurpose that illlustration to sell it. i think platform like freepik doesn't allow work that isn't 100% from you ... including OC that belong to other===fanart
Great video 👍. I have two things I didn't get it about text if I used it should I outline it or not?! And the other thing I didn't understand psd file how to upload them?
Most stock sites have different licenses. So you can give up all rights to your work (although I think this is very rare) most of the case you're always the copyright holder so you can use your own work. There might be limitations such as posting it on other stock sites. But all this info is found as you first upload a work to a stock site. If you sell your work to a client then you'l always keep the rights for it and often you sell a limited use such as 2 years free use and renegotiation after that. That's standard today.
This is an okay passive income if you already have many illustrations, or adjust your daily digital practice (social media post) to the required format, and diligently sit in your computer and upload them weekly. It can take quite a bit of time and energy filling up the info & tagging.
I should do a vid about that. It is such a frustration to figure out all the correct settings to get graphics approved. Once you know it you just follow the same thing over and over but to reach that point is a struggle and as you I didn't find any info about it. I tell tell you that unless you find info out there it's going to be a hard road to hoe.
Upload you Ai, Eps, SVG file with a preview image that should be 5000x3000. Preview image can be fancy compared to actual file. Like if you are uploading business card, for preview image you can upload the mockup of your business card. If you’re uploading iconset, the actual icons in illustrator might be differently arranged but you can create a fancy presentation to sell your assets.
Hi there, thank you for sharing this, this was very valuable! You mentioned about several stock websites that has non-exclusive agreement, do you know any websites to avoid that are using exclusive agreement?
Usually, stock websites will give you the option of exclusive/non-exclusive sales, although I'm sure some might demand exclusivity . You do get a higher return for exclusive sales though...
Thank you very much for your tutorial. Do we want to save the illustrator file as illustrator cc 2020 or illustrator cs because some say Adobe Stock does not support illustrator cc?
I am wanting to sell my abstract art as texture packs. So I'd like to sell the whole piece with the piece broke up into 6 close up jpegs to go with it as a whole texture pack. I'm running into issues with my file being too big for uploading to Adobe, but fear if I scan as a Jpeg and use that format for all uploads then the buyer won't be able to enlarge it. Any advice?
EXCELLENT. i am new in this field. can you please make one full episode on how to configure Pen Tablet ( Huion Inspiroy H1161) to use on Adobe Illustrator.
What do you recommend if you want to use vector illustrations to print on t shirts?..The packages say royalty free but to download you have to pay and it can cost you like $29 a month for 10 images but does that mean you can use and print 10 pics on t shirts or do you have to buy the more expensive one where you get 2 images for $200..Thats a lot of money and big difference in content..What is the difference in what you pay if you can use both package deals for printing on merchandise???
thank you for this video!!! I have a question; how can I make my illustrations visible among thousands of files with the same subject? I am using Inkscape, is it good for selling stock vectors? thank you a lot.
I wanted to thank you for this video. My wife is thinking of dropping her day job to learn my passion. This video will help reassuring her that this life's a possible life. I asked for a type of video tutorial on a previous comment board but wanted to resubmit my request. I am very interested in learning about the cooperation between Adobe programs like Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. I understand each has their own purpose but I feel at some points that what I'm attempting in Illustrator could be done somehow in Photoshop quicker. Yet I am a stickler when it comes to Photoshop since it's not vector. Thanks again! You're awesome.
Anthony Hulett I'm glad this video is useful for your wife to make a decision. Just clarify, would you like me to do a video on the differences and integrationa between the three Adobe tools?
@@YesImaDesigner I have trouble delegating the proper tasks to each program. If you asked me to design a business card design. Then format it to where multiples could be printed on a single paper, I'd probably spend hours attempting this in just Illustrator rather than properly using all necessary tools. So I believe you're right, it would be nice to know the basic differences a little better within the three programs but mainly knowing how to be more efficient with the integration of all three.
@@anthonyhulett4428 We actually did a livestream on this topic a year ago. Check it out and let me know if you want me to go into more details or cover it differently in another video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gmGKX0vz56s.html
i just want to ask? can you submit the same artwork on 2 diff. platforms, say adobe stock and shutterstock or freepik at the same time? is it ok or will it get you in trouble?
