@@pops7249 Ukraine has a navy, it's still a land war. None of their ships are capable of offering resistance to the Black Sea fleet, so none of them have. If Ukraine's only defence from Russia at sea comes from installations on land, it's a land war.
@@pops7249 Ignore Pops, he's a russian troll and can't stand that he "homeland" is losing a war....Badly, but what do you expect when Russians are surprised by toilets. Silly orcs.
Man, I haven't even watched this video yet but just wanted to give you a high five for doing it. While I wasn't thinking about a Diorama (my skill level isn't there yet), I was thinking about buying and constructing a ship of the same class, considering how historic it is in the interesting times we live in.
No matter how you spin it Russia looks incompetent. Either they allowed two subsonic missiles to hit their ship cause of fire and sink it. Or something on board caused a fire that reached the ammunition locker and caused it to sink it. Having been a sailor on board a US aircraft carrier I can say that fire and border ship sucks, but you do everything in your power to fight it. This was likely poor crew training, poor quality of workmanship and poor design. Or a combo of all three.
I spoke to a sailor and he told me the US / UK navies put a massive emphasis on damage control for this reason. Looks like another example of Ivan being sloppy.
It's like those firefighting groups in WWII Japanese carriers. They didn't know how to handle the situation and the plane fuel leaked everywhere. The carrier was burnt down at the end. That ship is carrier Taiho, Drachinifel made a video about it.
Regardless of your stance on the war, how Russia is describing the loss of the _Москва_ is rather disgusting. Claiming it was a piece of junk that was worthless, and using the lives that were lost on board as nothing but political bargaining chips. I know this is how Russia treats its people, but talk about disgusting
Impressive Build as always! Can you please tell me which colors you did used for the ship? These look spot on and I would like to to the Pyotr Velikiy within my next builds. Thank you!
The best part is that it is historically accurate by exposing the lie that Moskva was hit by missiles. Internal fire damage yes (sabotage? Direct energy weapon?, accident?) but no missile strike because hello, no holes blown in the ship.
For reference, It's reported that Moskva got its pennant number removed when leaving Sevastopol for the last time. So it shouldn't carry the 121 number when sunk
@@SarcasticMarauder although changing a name is seen as bad luck which the ship did have happen to it removing pennant numbers on the bow is pretty common thing when going to war
@@doodemog okey, I see you haven't any arguments. And no fleet, no gas, no oil and no independence from other resourses ) Good luck, asshole from nowhere)
I like this class of ship, it is the aesthetics of a ship I am most interested in, and not the nation that it resides. Great subject again. Take care, and all the best.
It don't reside in any nation.. It is at the bottom of the sea were it have been given a special mission to act as an artificial reef all according to the master plan for the "Special military operation" /s
Very impressive model. Just a small detail... Saw photographs when she was leaving Sevastopol for the last time. There was no "121" in the hull, apparently to make id more difficult during wartime.
WOW! You're fast! Great subject, right on time. With only one blurry photo, the scene came alive! Your meticulously crafted diorama is an extraordinary modern naval warfare moment frozen in time.
Hi, didn't think it would be long before someone did a diorama of this and Studio Blue Ocean, has come to the party. Excellent work as always. Would like to know what you use. ie paints etc. Thank you for sharing your skills. HG Australia
@@koringed The Americans famously had a ship severely damaged by a missile attack because the missile defense system wasn't turn on. It happens to the best.
@@koringed tbh the rocket version is the most believable, because how the fuck could an entire warship be lost because of an accidental fire ? or russian crew are trully among the lowest and most poorly trained in the whole world because from memory even third world country don't lose their flagship from accident, submarines yeah it happens, but a cruiser lost by accidental fire ? never heard of that since WW2
@@TheGirard62 And the explosion of the ship's ammunition with the help of a rocket entails much more serious consequences. In fact, neither side will say what happened to the ship. Although after the conflict, many will want to look at the ship through the bathyscaphe.

Bro this sumbol you post is a illuminati emblem. Im certain you thought it was " peace " but you are wrong. This means the opposite. Death and suffers not peace. Iluminati control the social media and of course fb insta twitter etc is their. But to know the real History this symbol is upside. The real one that exist in North Lands of Europe look the sky Not the bottom like this here the upside down that mocks and means evil adopted by evil men that want to change Truth and History. The real One the original the authentic and Normal is this Y ( with a circle around of course ) and its name is " ALGIZ " Has the form of a stag face and the Sumbol means Life and Wisdom and no Suffers ( war ) ! So we must know before post anything what is the real and original form before we rewrite and mock its true meaning and history.
@@shel5196 Russia funded the DPR and LPR insurgencies. Russia illegally invaded Crimea. Russia bombed their own apartments to blame Chechnya. DPR shot down MH17 and Russia covered it up.
Great diorama, but I dare to make a small comment about the inscriptions. Judging by the photos of the "Moskva" that were taken in Sevastopol a few days before the ship sank, the name and identification numbers were painted over to make it difficult to identify her.
@@cranberryeater7459 I don't really understand what you meant by your comment. We are discussing the process of creating the diorama here, not the Russо-Ukrainian war, actually.
@@user-nx5jg5xi9v He means that the diorama would have been closer to the event it depicts, if the model didn't show the ID number and name, as the real ship also had them painted over when the incident occurred. He wasn't discussing any war. Part of building a diorama of a real event, is the challenge of getting as close as possible to it.
And to the fully co-opted Russian Orthodox Church, who were loving a new Czar in Putin, a section of their sacred cross was on the Moskva. It’s to them an icon with presumably magical properties, which seems not to include air defence and proper damage control training.
They shot down incoming "Neptunes" with ease. They sank the cruiser as they lit victory cigars and began celebrating with vodka and caviar.... Unbelievable !!!
@@DarthJend Supposedly, today on the frigate "Admiral Makarov" Russians were doing trial lighting of the victory cigars before the May 9th anniversary... Again, too close to the open door of the GUNPOWDER ROOM !!!
If you can't find it, buy the Varyag kit! I did, Trumpeter includes the decals for her sister ships including Moskva and also includes parts for the Moskva's top radar. As far as I can tell there aren't any other noticable differences.
На момент повреждений тактический номер и название были закрашены что собственно не имело смысла поскольку корабль данного класса был на черном море единственный и спутать его невозможно.
@@matisek7923 it seems unclear as of now. Remember that every general who Ukraine claimed to kill was met with suspicion, but most were proven not long after. We'll see in the coming hours.
@@Tom_Cruise_Missile Maybe I remember this wrong, but after Moskva was hit I remember there being more info, now it just seems like "yeah we hit a ship". But according to live UA map there seem to be reconnaissance planes so we'll see, you're right
@Studio Blue Ocean, Perhaps a new diorama to make: It seems that Russian Naval Ship Admiral Makarov is on a special mission to the bottom of the Black Sea.
Incredible job and you got the stormy seas it sunk so life like; picture perfect. I envy your talents in being able to make something look so realistic. Very well done indeed and *Thank You* for sharing this. 👍👍👍👍
Entertainingly, the weather when the Moskva sank was actually extremely good, with very low wave action. One of the more hilarious gaslighting claims out of Moscow is the one about the weather.
Fascinating!!! Question, I'm an old school modeler with zero experience with etched metal parts. Do the metal parts need prep before attaching, and prep before paintjng?
