My dad had one of these, it was identical in colour and spec. It was great car and I think it still looks great even today. Had some catastrophic issue with a £10,000 or about $17,000 AUD. Repair bill. His mate back in their UK also had an identical one with the same issue. Can’t remember what it was of the top of my head though.

My 2008 BMW5 series key fob remote doesn’t work. I changed key fob battery, the diversity antenna and also fixed the broken looms but still doesn’t work. Any suggestion what it bight be wrong?

Fitted my black grills today. I just popped them out, didn't need to remove all the trim like yourself. Also fixed my rear wiper. Luckily, it was just the pin that slots into the housing. It was just sticking and not coming out far enough. Thankfully a free fix. Enjoying the vids. 👍 This time on Road and race. I fit an XLR race chip??

Is it true that BMWs are quite leaky? Looking at picking up a 3 series estate (320D) but ive heard a lot of talk from BMW owners in general about leaky seals and bad water pumps. Im not looking to get one if i have to take it back to the shop every few months to have seals replaced.

My rear winper on my bmw 330d e46 touring got stuck i just lubricat it with wd-40 once in a while same with the switch to the rear window🙂

Very nice but i think e60 has less problems and e61 often get water in the trunk where it damages the electricity of the car , maybe you should check that out ?

I think its plumbers putty that does a treat for alot less than clay bar so I hear not that I've actually tried it myself yet but I will once I've done pretty much all the jobs you're doing on your car on mine I can then think about giving it a proper valet. The brakes need doing first with a minor service then suspension bits and then on to the dent in the rear quarter and a proper wash! I cant wait till some slightly better weather comes our way ☀️

My Air suspension pump gave up I run it on a tyre air pump out of Lidl £14 work a threat I ran my e61 525d m sport on one for 3 years just to see how long it would last still working

Can i please ask. Where did you get the monochrome BMW logos for your wheels ? Do they to bonnet badge also. Working on a full blackout for my F30 and they would look amazing ! Hmm i do like your wheels . May have to save up some ( many) pennies and get a set for my F30.

I kinda like the chrome ones better but with your color wheels black grills is nicer. I may swap my stock chrome ones back into my e90 M3. There is gloss blk oem ones on right now.

Lastly, any tips on improving the boot opening mechanism? Doesn't open as freely. Have to physically lift it all the way up as it just stays at the height. Tried to use wd40 on the joints as well as the struts?

Add some safety wire on the bumper inserts. I have done that on my E61, and have even had a stone go through the blanking plate of one, but it is still there!

Wow. I removed my kidney grills withrout beaking them without removing all the parts you did :D i didnt know it could be done this easily. I suffered solid hour to get one revoved, but after that second one was piece of cake. Thanks for post-informative video tho"!!

Can you service the Z yourself ? And if you service the wagon yourself can you reset the service indicator correctly ? Just wondered

Yep, did the rear wiper thingy too... Some seven years ago. Since then, no issues, due to the fact that avery once in a while I grease the shaft as you did... Also coded the digital speedometer and a few other things And to me, if you put on the black kidney grills, the window trims should match and also be black, so in your case the black grill are way better with your black window trims. Mine, which is orient blue, has chrome grill and window trims. I feel the black grills and window trims don't fit well with my cars' body color. But that is just a matter of taste (as the Romans said: "De gustibus et coloribus non est disputandum").

Why is everyone obsessed with black grills on everything. Just looks like someone stuck an eBay part on, original chrome ones make the grill stand out and look more sleek, and fitting with the over all styling of a 5 👌🏽

Do like the option of a digital speedo. The issue I had with my rear wiper was the window kept popping open. When I got round to replace it the window was jammed. So had to pull the cable apart and trigger the wires.

What has it been like on fuel?

When's the M badge coming to compliment the black kidney grill/es? Just joking, it looks great. Seriously considered an E61 a few months back but found a Subaru Legacy estate cheap. I think the E61 is aging really nicely, still looks great 👌

Step 1, open brand new Wash mitt and Clay bar glove. Step 2 put them on the floor.... Do you hate your paintwork?

I would NOT RECOMMEND disconnecting and removing the cable and the switch for the upper part of the back window if you just want to fix the wiper. You can leave these parts untouched and still replace the part for the wiper without any trouble. Be removing/ touching the switch as well you may damage/ misplace the seal so water may come in and mess with your electronics back there, leaving you with a non-working switch.

Don’t leave your wash media on the floor to pick up grit. Throw those in the bin get some replacements as those are fucked now.

Should really of detailed the paint before the ceramic coating. You are just locking in swirls, holograms and scratches from previous years of washing incorrectly

There's nothing that can make an E60 look good! It's the only 5 series I just wouldn't buy.
