Wowww that aesthetic is like leaps and bounds cooler than the realistic one you had, great job and good luck with collage. Im also starting in a month and idk what to expect honestly
This is amazing! Making a horror game like Poppy Playtime and FNAF is one of my dream and I hope soon I can, I really liked the game you made... You got a new sub ❤
Nice devlog! A tip: For zooming into the screen, you can use Cinemachine. Line up a virtual cam with the screen, and when the player is in interaction range, you can toggle the cam on. With a blend, you can get a nice smooth transition between a virtual cam on the player and the computer's. Just toggle the computer cam off when you're done interacting! You can do this with future interactions as well if you want to re-use across the project! Good luck and can't wait to see where the project goes!
Wickid, scaling up projects is the best way to progress, and these kinds of videos will definitely see you more progress, keep it up big man. looking forward to more
I feel you with the rotation issues! Also best of luck with college! I know how difficult it can be balancing game dev and school! So by all means take you time! I’ll still be here when you next upload!
1. nobody models with tris unles you have absolutely 0 and i mean 0 knowledge on 3d modeling 2. although its good practicate to triangulate your models unity does this automatically tl:dr please dont give out tips on things you dont understand
@@yungface4572 His advice is perfectly valid in the context it was given. You clearly don't know the difference between low-poly and sub-d modeling, and are in no position to accuse anyone else of lacking knowledge.
about the setting, i'd suggest to study a lot about the world and how to do proper storytelling, it's incredible how much you can tell by just SHOWING instead of telling! you can take reference on from software games and more in depth content channels like Zullie the Witch and VaatiVidya. good luck on the game and congrats on colleage!!! hope you keep working on the game and having fun :)
Concept looks great & sounds interesting man! The only thing I have a critique about is the syntax in the terminal. It usually don't have brackets nor semicolons at the end, nor do they start capitalized. They usually are either all-caps or all-lowercase, (MSDOS used as reference, it looks like you're going for that sort of thing) so I would personally suggest removing that. Plus, makes it less annoying to type them in game. But hey, your game your choice, do as you like better. Looking forward to seeing more.
I'm also trying to make my dream horror game. It's called "The Duscher Dimension". (Duscher is a chemical compund I imagined) The story is as follows: after a hard day at work you head to bed. However, after you lay down, an incredibly bright light appears above you and sucks you in. You wake up inside a strange facility, specifically inside a testing chamber. After solving the first puzzle and making your way out of the room you see that the facility has been very recently abandoned and so you try and find your way out, and also where exactly are you... I want to make this game SO badly, but I just cannot get myself to do one thing. ONE PHOQUEING THING. Make the map for the game. I suck at level design, and also my brain just randomly turns off whenever I try to work on this game. If anyone has any, and by that I mean ANY tips on how I could work on that, I would be very thankful if you share them. Albitros out.
Yeah I had the same problem with my last game. My solution, a smaller map lol. After working on an entire spaceship I realized that was too much for me. This new game will have like 3 rooms
I feel you. I also wanna make games for.ages now but cant get my ass up to get started...😅 I basically have no knowledge and neither do know programming or the engines. Other peopel atleast know a bit. And kne thing btw....you should try to keep your ideas to you😅 there are a lot of people that steal ideas on the internet
I have experience with channels that have over 25K subscribers. A tip I can offer is to get a key light. It makes the camera look more professional. i recommend the Key Light MK.2 from elgato
I'm working on a game with a similar art style but am also a blender noob haha. Are there any tutorials/guides you used to help you learn? Aesthetics look great btw!
Hi Barryco so I wanna ask you something since you made a Mario VR game I challenge you to make a sonic vr game such as the momentum the homing attack, the spin dash, the drop dash, the sonic going through a loops physics and I want you add green hill zone and the test zone and also a tutorial
I would recommend you to have a asset for shaders which is called as MKToon and it has the option for posteriation to create a good looking lethal company sytle of graphics man ❤🎉
Hey man. I have some experience doing retro modeling. I'm not the best at it, but if you need help I have time to spare and can make some things for you.
yo bro, im a roblox dev, and i saw this vid, you had a great idea, i was wondering if you'd let me borrow that idea and make my own little project on roblox? I'll credit you
