No. Sometimes you'll want to only use 49, simply because you'd rather get another 2pt air card than your next inf cart for 3 points. If there's no category that gives you a 1AP card, then you'll be going with 49/50.

It depends what you want in your divisions. you can go 48-49-50. If I can't find anything I need for a specific deck, and I can't fit anything else I'll keep it at 49. But then if I notice I'm lacking some capabilites, then I might switch out some cards and top it off to 50

youll seldom use all of your units ever. I prefer to use all 50 points and balance it, even if I have to get some cheapo units or drop like an arty piece or recon. I mean, its an exchange of a 2 pointer unit for a 3 pointer unit, if you have 49, for example. Double recon units are very good for deck balancing purposes. Always bring 6 cvs min.

Yep, exactly what others have said. Sometimes I have decks with 49/50 activation points because I’d rather have a certain unit over another
