This was a while ago and I've never dealt with skins personally, but it's my impression that applying heat on the curves with something like a hair dryer helps immensely with making it stay flat and smooth.
I still love my 3ds as well! Like you said, there are so many amazing games that haven't been ported over yet (still play fantasy life and wild world regularly)! I've been spoiled by the switch though, my original 3ds screen feels way too small, I need to save up for an xl eventually 😂 The little extras in your package were so cute. Your 3DS looks adorable with the skin and the case and all the stickers! Putting a skin on a switch is hard enough, it looks a lot more complicated on the DS, lol.

I had the black and red model and I hated it so much, it was UGLY, okay? 😭😭😂😂 so I decided to exchange it for a white console in Cex, I got some really cute bunny/bear stickers and a bear charm from Shein and a clear case from Amazon. I also had the black and red travel case/bag to carry the 3DS which I hated it as well, so I sold it and I got the cutest Cinnamon roll travel bag for my DS on Amazon. Now my 3DS XL looks amazingly beautiful, kawaii and aesthetic and I’m super proud of it omg!! I wish I could show you all 🥺😍😍🌸🌺
i love the way ur 3ds turned out! i plan to do the same w/ my black 'new' 3ds xl, i have also bought a case from kawaiifanfans and im so excited to give my 3ds the glow up she needs once her pink skin arrives in the mail 🎀
i've really enjoyed it!! it works great, just as good as the norma DS styluses but it's much easier to hold than the little tiny ones that come with the DS haha!
I’m pretty sure the skin is easier to apply with a heat gun or maybe a hair dryer. If you want to try and re-apply the skin on the inside you could maybe use a hair dryer.

I think you could have also changed the shell if you didn't like the color. The problem with doing that is that you would have to be really careful not to damage anything
3ds xls are so expensive now😭 i have one from afew years ago that i still use and i was trying to get one for my little cousin and theyre like £300 or more! i remember the switch lite being less than that when it first came out
they are!! my sister wanted to get one and a lot of them are MORE expensive now than when they were new?? it's so crazy 😭😭 wishing you luck w finding one!!

I might have to get this if I can for my 3Ds XL!! Also HEAT!! Use a heat tool or a hair dryer to keep stuff down and stop air bubbles just hold it on the spot for 2-3 seconds and it should work!! @dreamycraftshop have a ton of videos showing how!! I find they’re very helpful! 🎀🧁🫶🏻
