PS2 Fan Upgrade mod in 2023 | The Simple ULTIMATE SILENT PS2 Build
Namaste and Sat Sri Akaal friends,
Here I have WAS my extraordinarily loud PlayStation 2 (SCPH-30002R). Now thanks to a cheap 12V fan and a-bit of aluminum, I have a completely silent PS2. This is great for people who want to silence their PS2s but do NOT want to pay a INSANE amount for the Noctua Fan upgrade kit. The reason why I decided to upgrade its fan and not just simply do a fan swap (with the quieter later revision PS2 (e.g. SCPH-5000X) was that I do NOT want to turn a functioning PS2 into 'for parts' AND this PS2 still have its original functioning laser - FROM FACTORY.
Note: You can easily borrow the tools or even ask local businesses for a scrap of aluminum - for example Automotive repair garages/local mechanic.
