Just a couple thoughts.. 1. Stove headed bolts so the sand will not be on your bolt heads? 2. Move your trailer plug up above the trailer tounge to prevent damage when jack knifing, also to eliminate a sand collection point. 3. Could you spray your dump bed with something like no stick cooking spray to help the load come out? Not a truck drive but have enjoyed the videos. Love that you bring your son along. Stay safe!
@@grumpysgararge5860 yeah I’ll tell ya so far it has been great . I’ve be dumping loads out of it ever since I re did the plate and it’s been working awesome! I do like the cooking spray idea ! Yes I love that I get to hang out every day with my son . My youngest son and I went today to buy his first ever dump truck . 2002 f550 . He’s so excited! Thanks for watching.
@@notched426 yeah I do like it very much. I would recommend using cutting oil though. I burned up one of the bits not using oil but it was on the weekend and I was impatient.
@DirtBrute no problem and for the hitch I run the 30 ton swivels so I can take it off easy for the paver with one big nut and cotter key some people will set up all there trailer hitches to be high enough for the paver but if you have some trailers you like to share with smaller trucks like 550 and such it don't work out but if you have only a certain trailer and don't ever pull small ones behind just go up on the height instead of even messing with unbolting it on and off
@@mikethorntonr1 I thinks I’m going go with the 30 swivel when the time comes . Exactly what you said is what my brother does on his truck when he goes paving! Thanks man
I do it but we are not allowed to bang the gate at this gated community. They complain about the noise all the time .I’d like to get a vibrator at some point . Thanks for watching!
This is January video its the end of March. Where is the new shop why are you suffering build the new shop ready. Steve you know that if you spray some soapy water on that conveyor belt rubber that razor blade knife works a whole lot better.
Not really . Pretty sure things got done in the order in which they needed to happen. I also got rained out and snowed out a few times and picked back up where we left off so you make no sense to me. But thanks for watching.
Keep a low wattage incandesant light bulb inside the cover of the welders and the wire will not rust. The heat generated by the bulb will keep the wire nice and toasty. Or build a box with a/c insulation and put the wire rolls inside with a bulb to keep the moisture out.
