Angela I really admire your confidence and hard work. You must have a really good husband who supports you. That’s also really important when running a business. Oh and your sewing areas are always clean and organized!!
Those are so pretty! I was telling my husband yesterday about you and how you work your business and I just want you to know how inspiring you are to others. You are so down to earth and relatable with no “fluff”. Thank you!❤️
Nena I had a heart attack when you threw away so much tull.... chachis costumes have a way of making two with one long roll I think it good cause you can make more from the long roll than cutting so much from it.. nena and be carefull that scared me so much when the needle went in your finger. Thank God not all the way thru your finger like ive i seen uff.. GBY and be carefull
Angela, use a smaller needle for the ribbon and check your tension, it looks a little tight and tight tension and too big a needle is affecting the ribbon
And the embroidery thread is not best for this sewing but at least bobbin thread should be of similar weight, if not it could also cause the puckering. Then should make test with smaller needle, tension adjustment and stitch lenght.
Those tutus are adorable. You said that the problem with tutus over 3t is that they don't poof as much. I think the only way to fix that would be to add a ruffled tulle to the bottom tulle (like a petticoat) so that there is more volume at the bottom of the tutu. Which at that point it would be a question of the extra time and material making it worth it. 🤔
FYI I worked in a sewing factory and we had a L bracket underneath our machine to hold elastic and then it would come off the roll up to your foot and then you could just takeoff and sew like crazy. I was thinking that you could do the same thing with rolls of ribbon it shouldn’t take much to attach a L bracket and attach it underneath and we always used a clothes pin to hold the ribbon on the bracket . Just think how fast you could put ribbon on!! A magnet guide would hold your ribbon in place.
I just sold my Pe800 and my beginners sewing machine and bought me a juki! I wasn’t using either since I got my multi needle . Also Just ordered your Esty course . 🥰
I just started binge watching your videos, and I love your spirit. You’re truly inspiring and have given me so much motivation. Oh, and by the way I would repurpose that leftover tulle. Feel free to past it on over here to me! 😂 But love what you do. Riley has had me cracking up too from your past vids. I just love it!
Hi Angela I have a question I have 3 grandaugther one is going to be 6 months and the others 4, 6 how many yards you use and length if you can answer that I will apreciated I like to made a tutu for all of them for one of them bday Party thanks have a great and bless day
You have definitely set the tone! I peep in every now and again to see your ideas come to life. Very happy with what I see. I will be purchasing a juk sewing machine as I invest in this business venture. Thanks Angela.
Check out juki ..see if they have a ruffle attachment or maybe you can get one for your other machine… make an L shaped table and leave it set up so you do your ruffles supper fast! It’s not important if you only did one or two but for your volume it would be a time saver ❤️
Hi Angela! I love all your videos!! and.. you made me buy the Juki DDL8700 and the Epson F570. Thank you so much for all the details!! This time I need a favor, I need to know what needle size you use to sew tutus. Thanks a lot!
My only comment to you is YOU ARE TALENTED!! And ..ha! My only OTHER comment is....haha! ...is your DRIVE to be Successful is Motivating and super AWESOME!! If there could be more "driven" women imagine THE POSSIBILITIES!! The world and stay at home Moms could be even more awesome on top of their Gaaa-Zillions of things they do. Ha! (I'm literally talking to myself here. ) lol! God Bless you Angela Awesome Jasmina 💗🍉
Hi. I’m not an expert seamstress I just do projects based on RU-vid videos. Do you mind sharing what tension do you use for sewing the tutus please? Thank you for all your videos. Very detailed instructions and easy to follow.
Your work is quality. I really enjoy your videos. Now I’m going to attempt to start using my Janome MB4 needle machine that I bought 6 years ago and have no clue what I need to do. Thankful for videos like yours to inspire us. How long do you think it takes for each TuTu you make?
Hey Angela Can you do more using your Cricut Maker. I just won one and I am so excited to make projects with it to sell. Where can I purchase the HTV and Iron vinyl other than from Walmart Cricut section.? Cricut products are expensive and I need to find a cheaper place for supplies. I am going to start my own side line now that I have this Maker. Thanks Angela for any suggestions.
Angela, I get mine a Gifts International and they are way cheaper than at BB Crafts and they have tulle. I just placed a big order today. Btw, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for all your inspiration. I just bought my first embroidery machine today and I jumped right into a 10 needle Ricoma. So excited but so scared. Lol
Hey Angela! The tutus turned out even more beautiful than I expected! By the way, I have the same machine and I noticed you are using your hand with the knee lift to raise your presser foot. Not sure if you know but there is a hand lift/switch on the back left of the machine right above the needle. It may be more convenient and more what you're used to with other sewing machines. Just thought I share, there is quite the learning with this machine. HAPPY SEWING!!
Hi Angela! The tutus are cute. Colors came out perfect. If you are not sure about how the colors look together, use a color wheel. They are plenty on Amazon, and fairly cheap. Maybe you would need to check the tension or needle size. (Needle size 75 or 80 because of is fine fabric) Your stitches wrinkle the ribbon a little. It can be fixed, is just setting.
I think you can use the left over Tulle to make bows with. I make dog bows out of Tulle for my customers dogs. Just a ideaI in case you are throwing it away. You can use it for something
So new at this-your amazing BTW. My only duhhhhh moment is sizing the elastic. I have no clue as to a 1 year old or a 4 year old. I'm wanting to make these tutus for Holiday gifts but I don't know the band length to use. Just new, and willing to learn. :)
Would you consider getting glitter or print ribbon? Like cheetah or cow print for example. 😁 I love your pages. Started my business based of your videos!
Hey Angela, I think your juki isn’t threaded correctly.. after you go around the tension discs on the front you go under the hook lever and then back into the thread guide.. then into the eye behind the front guard ..hope that makes sense.. I did it wrong on mine too! Love the tutus.. I need to start making some!
