This video is about how I made a miniature working car crusher for my train layout, inspired by the movie "Goldfinger".
See the main video of my working model here: • Goldfinger Car Crusher...
One of my favorite James Bond scenes is from the movie Goldfinger where Oddjob drives a brand new 1964 Lincoln Continental into the junkyard to be lifted by the crane and dropped into the hydraulic car crusher... then the cube of metal that was once a car is loaded up and driven away.
That scene inspired me to build an HO scale animated model for my train layout. I designed the mechanics myself, and it's built with tiny motors that really crush the tiny tinfoil car into a cube, just like in the movie. Please enjoy this video and share your comments.
I use traditional hand-operated milling machines and a bit of ingenuity to make these unique tiny machines inspired by real-life big machines.
