After his demise, I think his stardom has increased a lot. People got to know about him and his craze during 70s. He was like god, and just 2nd only to god. Not only in India I think in whole planet nobody could have addressed that craze and fan following. Just like Michael Jackson in Dance, Just like beatles group in Pop Music, in the same way Kaka addressed the stardom in Indian subcontinent. But his stardom was at another level. I feel great when I see more people loving him.

I think it's a media conspiracy organized by his rivals at the time which keeps getting repeated..sure he was arrogant but that alone wasn't the reason for his downfall. Nobody had seen success like his before- consecutive superhits, so it was an unprecedented situation and they worked collectively to bring him down.

I have seen him personally for about a week. He came for shooting of Basu Chatterjee's movie, Chakravyuh, at Santacruz Airport hanger in 1977 when I was employed in Indian Airlines. He was so handsome looking, I could not believe at that time. But alas, today, I see him in this video. I realise that he never smoked cigarrettes but cigarrettes smoked him entirely. Also, he never drank alchohol but alchohol drank him completely.
