Nice informative video. All shown in detail. This is labour intensive process requires a lot of patience. Feeling proud for those poor but dedicated work force. After all this effort 1 box of matches is selling at 1 rupee in our shops.

My native town in SOUTH INDIA ( KERALA ) IN 1960 s had over 60 small cottage industries where the ENTIRE PROCESS OF PRODUCING MATCHES IN WOODEN BOXES AND PACKED FOR SALES WAS DONE. BUT SIVAKASI TAMILNADU AT THAT TIME WAS A GREAT CHAIN OF MATCH INDUSTRY APART FROM MATCHES FOR FIREWORKS ALONG WITH PRODUCTION OF CRACKERS AND SMALL EXPLOSIVES FOR FESTIVALS. THEN CAME NORTH BASED WIMCO AND NOW A FEW HIGHLY SOPHISTICATED MATCH FACTORIES USING PAPER ( WAXED) FOR MATCH STICKS. LONG STICH MATCHES ALSO IS A NEW PRODUCT. LUCIFER MATCHES NOT ALLOWED IN INDIA...ANYWAY GOOD VIDEO.
