Great build. My only question is... what kind of overflow/obstruction precautions do you have built into the design? Simply making the outer walls an inch taller than the baffles and adding some overflow holes at the top of the tank facing wall would let any water that backs up to escape through the holes and simply fall back into the tank. With the inlet being so close to the bottom of the tank, if the filter overflows and dumps outside the tank, it would pretty much drain the whole aquarium.
HOB > Sponge Intake > DIY Canister > Overhead Sump. Good Upgrades on filteration. Anyhow your fish tank looks crystal clear. Does it really need to upgrade?

Hello brother, Can you help me is selecting my filter like which filter I purchase for my 5 feet long tank. Size:- 5ft × 1.2ft × 1 ft ( L×H×B) I have fine black sand at bottom & preparing for my 5/6 Oranda Goldfish or one of its kind. I am confused which filter to use.
