I have been using a CNC to make plywood tables. Here are the first two CNC table designs I produced using my X-carve Pro. I used sanded pine plywood that is 3/4" thick. This video is sponsored by Inventables and they wanted me to test out their new features that allow people to sell their files.
X-Carve Pro affiliate link with the BEST AVAILABLE PRICE for it: www.inventable...
Here are the links. to the table files:
Table 1: www.inventable...
Table 2: www.inventable...
I typically make my CNC designs free like this modular plant stand:

I did this as a favor to help test these new features which hopefully will encourage more CNC users to upload and. sell their designs.

😂 yeah, spent 2020 building a CNC, now material cost exploded it just sits there, collecting dust

I like that you mention how to price, and acknowledge that these machines are spendy. Thx Ben for all the years of good design and staying focused on keeping things accessible :)

Very clever design. You can still make both tables without a CNC.

Really loved the use of scraps/cutoffs for supports. Need more of that in CNC design.

I like the 2nd one better. I like the beefier top and lack of apron.

I also like the thinner surface but I love the curve of the rounded surface. Just kept drawing my eye.

Well Done, I understand you probably haven't used a laser CNC but ?Could you evaluate the big-picture pros/cons between a 4x8' router vs laser cnc set-up anyways?

I ordered a CNC with a 32x32 cutting space. Will I be able to make furniture with one that small or will I need one your size?
@ams613
@ams613 8 месяцев назад
i also have a 32" x 32" CNC, and I've made a few pieces of larger furniture. There is a technique called "tiling" which allows a design to exceed the size of the cutting space. In his design, certainly the largest support or leg piece is under 32" x 32" . I haven't looked at his design files.

One of your best pieces, I like the thicker one. UK / Australians - checkout XYZ-Carve machines (I'm not affiliated)
