Kiri Engine's Latest Update got some Major Upgrades: 1) You can Now Click 100 Photos in the FREE Plan! 2) Improved Consistency in the Featureless Scan Mode 3) Auto-Rigging Feature
The Gaussian splat (featureless scan) to mesh Feature Really is the MVP of the App. Gaussian splats are quickly becoming a really viable piece of tech which is pretty rare for something to prove its purpose so easily. As if I remember correctly the Devs of Kiri Engine said that The featureless scan is essentially just a workflow to convert Gaussian splats to a usable mesh.
one thing you can try is get textures out of model and upscale them in comfy ui using supir upscale ,comfy ui may be little complicated but you can try other online upscalers but i think they are not that much good btw video is great.
Amazing short film. Feedback from my side would be the water in the scene at 0:36 where Psyduck is floating needs to be almost flat as it's in a bathtub and the effect you used is seen in large water bodies like oceans. If you want the water to move a bit, then try to make the waves in a ring format with some colliding with each other.
Yeah. I agree. I tried that but the scene looked way too mundane. Had to fake it so I could get a Lil bit of dynamic movement in the shot. But feedback taken nevertheless! Appreciate it
Amazing man. I love your final renders in all your sequences. I had one question - Did you do any post processing to the model after you exported it from Kiri engine? Is there even a need to do it ?
Appreciate you brother. I did. I smooth the models in sculpt mode. There's no need if the camera is farther away. But for this close, it's better to smooth them out a Lil bit . Otherwise no other post processing
@@stache_obj I see. Really wanted to use either Kiri, luma or Reality capture ( this is almost totally free via epic). Thank you and keep churning some great work man.
I HAVE A 1650 SUPER AND 16GB RAM DO I SERIOUSLY NEED TO UPGRADE TO DO SIMILAR STUFF IN BLENDER? I AM IN THE FIELD OF URBAN PLANNING AND I AM TRYING TO VISUALIZE SETTELEMTS USING PHOTOGRAMMETRY...... DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGESTIONS?
I was so close to doing that but making a plastic surface like that completely black is really difficult I thought. Like how do u make it absolutely diffuse with as minimally reflective as possible. Paint is still kinda reflective
@@stache_obj the one which I have has an iron surface.. So it's not reflecting that much.. plastic one will do that.. I suggest to place a black hand kerchief on the plastic tray 😅
hey i tried buying your silver tier patreon subscribtion from 2 diff bank accounts , but due to rbl regulations both my payments got canceled . is there any solution for it?
@@stache_obj it removes specularity from the smooth surfaces. There are more factors to a good model then just polarizing. Your results speak for themselves, you achieved good models, I would just disagree with some of the information that you shared here about the capturing process. But it seemed to have worked out for you. You make statements about perfectionists and that certain things aren't relevant for a good model, the thing is, mostly they aren't if you require models for rendering with photo textures, the world looks different tho if you create accurate models where prescision is required, 3d printing, architectural visualisations, etc. Then you cant get around a certain degree of equipment. The phone camera solution is true, but you would have to jump trough some hoops first to truly get control over your smartphone camera. That's the difference you see between the xiaomi and the s23. Both phones will create similar resulting models.
@Golfs4 I guess you don't really understand how AI works. Artificial intelligence need _material_ to learn from. There's currently not enough, and won't be for another decade since creators wouldn't like to share models with it sometimes. Your take "AI will do this in near future" is like a spit in author' face (and artist community by itself), aknowledging him that you not only careless about what he did, but also making no value to his work. Well done. Saying that Blender is outdated now is absolute nonsense. Million people around the world using it to make masterpieces, and devteam themselves are making new stuff including animation update for being able to work on it easier. As one stereotypical american fan of Sun Tzu said: "Human always beat robot magic".
@Golfs4 that's your take. I believe AI will only empower artists. And an artist who has spent the time to learn these manual tools and spent months of their life learning smaller topic like color theory and composition and lighting and storytelling will always have an upper hand if and when AI even takes over
