In this video I get the Massey 1840 and the New Holland BC5070 hayliner small square balers out and get them ready and we bale two fields, there is also a pretty cool slow motion shot of the knotters if you ever wanted to see how they make a knot.

I was watching Franklin County Forage and saw your comments there. Thought I’d check you out. Love watching square baler videos. I purchased a NH 575 in December, 2022. Hope I like it. Been using a NH276, it does good, just slow.

The NH 575 is probably the pinnacle of balers of any brand, I have alot more videos of baling from this summer I just haven't had time upload them yet

Tye difference between an inline baler and other square baler is just how you feed the feeder house right?
@LoefflerFarms
@LoefflerFarms 3 года назад
I mean yes basically, knotters all work the same

That's what happens when you bale so slow. The hay gets too dry!

I have a nh 320, terrible about bale length. We always have inconsistent windrows.

Try put a spring or tarp strap on the trip arm so it does not bounce after resetting that helped mine a bunch

Nice video! What’s the extra long bale chamber on the NH do? Side compression?
@LoefflerFarms
@LoefflerFarms 3 года назад
I have it on the there to help with bale length issues in straw because the bales come out so fast I thought a longer chamber would help, it did some but I could probably take it off if I was feeling extra ambitious to do so

@@LoefflerFarms Oh, that makes sense! Was there a hydraulic cylinder or something on the side for side pressure that I saw? Super interesting - thanks for sharing!

@@windrowfarm ya on the hayliner editions there is 4 way hydraulic tension

You should tie one spool to the next!

They are, but the knot between the two spools came at just the wrong time/spot

@@LoefflerFarms twist left on one side and right on the other side then tie your knot. I never have that problem.

@@LoefflerFarms maybe it got stuck in the knoter but if you don't tie them correctly they will constantly pull through. Lol. I'm the square baling critic.

@LoefflerFarms 3 года назад
Yep the knot between the balls was in the twine disks I generally don't have them come apart only about once every pallet of twine

@@LoefflerFarms super cool getting a response in the comments! I'm in the square baling business and love seeing others baling. But for real I constantly put 550 bales per hour with a NH baler. Your putting me to sleep. Lol. We also use a Bale Baron to pick everything up.
