Looking forward to seeing what you create next, Julie. Took a big batch of the mystery soaps to the pool today for the guards and instructors and office staff for an early Valentine’s Day celebration. Put the soaps in organza bags, so fancy!Everyone (male & female) was excited! ❤

glad to know i'm not the only one that had trouble pulling perfect layers, seems to be thin trace and thin layers to get consistant patterns is the trick.

I've done these soaps before. The key is to pour at just emulsion, very thin trace and work fast. I could tell that your batter was too thick, but it takes A LOT of practice to get just right.

That might be pretty if you alternate between a rainbow ITP swirl and a dark grey. Might end up looking like a stained glass rose window in a cathedral.

Thank you so much for doing this on camera! I've seen the finished product so many times, but never watched how it's done. I'm SO excited to see you do more! ❤ What essential oil did you use?

My soap took 2 days to finally be hard enough to cut then after the bottom of the soap had to cut and toss was to much mush didn't harden and not sure if it would ever harden cause the rest of the soap did first day was really soap then second day was better so you added a heating g pad to help with gel phase will try that thank you

Love it! You are always so creative, and relaxing to watch! What was the plastic sheet that you used to line the mold? Pretty nifty.

It came with the mold. It makes it unmold so effortlessly ☺️

Is there a benefit to doing the heat transfer method? Less fumes? Do the oils take a while to melt?
@OpheliasSoapery
@OpheliasSoapery 5 месяцев назад
It just saves time. Instead of waiting for lye water and melted oils to cool you get to soap right away with the heat transfer method. It takes about 5 minutes of stirring to melt.

That's too bad, it was a little too thick between layers and not fluid enough when poured. It's a good learning curve though to watch. You should do another one to compare! I'd love to see it.
