This was my first time making sorghum syrup and it turned out great. It's usually made using a large roller press but I decided to make do with a slow/cold press/auger style juicer I have. It's a lot of work but totally doable. Sorghum syrup tastes about like molasses and can be used in place of maple, honey or agave in any recipe. Very drought tolerant crop, easy to grow and sustainable. Great production of usable calories if your goal is off grid or self sufficient. This was from last fall and I'm just about to plant more sorghum this year and I bought a real press this time, stay tuned for updates.
