you can't deny Que. they each have their own thing that makes them special. Ques riffs are effortless and has a prety sound, while mike is really soulful. Will has the band leader voice. very r&b. Robert has brilliant gospel chops. Brian top cuts through in almost every song. very masterful.
They def didn’t pick all the best singers.. but in a group, I think it’s important to consider chemistry is often more important than the individual voices.. although I really think the choices were based off of who was better for tv dramatics. Willie had the worst voice of all these ppl show cases on this video but he made it n almost all of them didn’t
This version and performance will pop into my head from time to time. At least a few times a year. Finally cued it up and see all the ppl who watched it in real time like I did have so much love still for it. Amazing that music can linger like a sonic scent all these years later. This is such a gem

Chile listen…when this aired it was ICONIC. All of those beautiful voices came together to sing a beautifully written love song and SHUT IT DOWN. This ballad version did the song justice and the way all of these gentlemen showed their personal singing styles while still being giving to their fellow performers…just wow. This moment made me fall back in love with music and almost eclipses how hard Diddy failed this R&B group

Diddy seriously should've made 2 groups that night. All of these guys had GREAT voices and talent, ALL OF THEM. I was never able to say that when he was looking for a girl group. These guys were consistent, the entire way through!
Diddy screwed over every artist he signed. Biggie, Craig Mack, and Black Rob died before they started going gray. Shyne put in work, took his time like a G when most would've crossed Puffy out. Chewed him up and spit him out. Diddy made a bag of both Da Band and Day 26. They got single digit points split been l between the group. That's why he named his label Bad Boy, not Bad Boys. You can't name one artist left Bad Boy with a bag. Mase the only one that got money now, but it ain't come from Diddy.
From 2:09 Brian at the back understood the assignment. Perfection. I come her just to rewind his bit. His voice is gorgeous, even when the other one came in his riff was perfect, gorgeous.

THE BEST part of the ENTIRE season, was this part. Day 26 had such potential to be MAJOR in the industry if only Puffy had done right by them. It's rare when you have a group & EVERYBODY could carry lead. #thediddycurse

I recorded this back in the day on dvr & replayed this over & over. I'm so glad I found this, I wish I could find our who the other guys who aren't in Day26 are & if they're still making music! Willie's part into the next two singers part I can listen to forever I love those high notes omg!
