I think I did see chocolate on the ingredients table. I would’ve gone for that (and maybe the peanut butter) and tried to do some kind of Mexican Mole inspired fried rice.

When she said “creative and inventive”, you knew it was gonna be a disaster. Fried rice is always supposed to be simple with few ingredients whether you go cheap or high end.

"Like a little nasi goreng" why did the person make it sound like it is an entirely different thing? Fried = (Di) Goreng, Rice = Nasi. Same thing, just in a different language.

Should have not questioned their intention, to begin with. That one participant clearly make her renditon of Asian "nasi goreng", defined by multi-layered texture on quiet typical ingredients. Its perfectly fine to name it so, unlike the other whiskey, bourbons, yuzu juice, chocolate, pb&j, chitos fried rice😊

They basically picked the guy who doesn’t even know how to make fried rice but a mish mash of whatever! Quite disappointing on the judges but for diverse reasons they probably couldn’t choose the Asian!
