Thanks Mark. Beleive it or not, I do still have a few of the Redgills I bought in the mid 1970s in my tackle box. Some of my best ever pollack catches were using the small (100mm) orange Redgills fished with a slow retrieve while at anchor uptide of a wreck close to Ilfracombe.

Really interesting. A nice bit of angling History there too. Great idea for a video - Like many of us Angler my first Lure caught fish was a pollack on a red redgill attached to a swivel and a weight . My brother used to swear by float fishing them in rough seas and he always caught well. Things have moved on and i didn't realise there is so much involved in the moulding stage.

Nice to see , hope the tooling was made in the uk , slow old cycle time for those mouldings, but i suppose with manual handling needed it does slow the process. Big up uk made products.

I remember in the late 60s and into the 70s the oats going out to the wrecks with RedGills and the records tumbling week after week on Pollock and Coalfish , it was a fish fest in the Angler Times. Everyone was using the Redgills, even me in Scotland and they really worked too. Beautiful and simple lures with great action.

I was in heaven. It was absolutely fascinating. I’ll be honest I had about 3 1/2 hours of footage, but obviously I had to condense it. I don’t think I did the justice but I’m no Steven Spielberg. I can only do what I can do but thanks for your comment. Really appreciate that.
