GWTW is probably my very favorite book and movie ever! The costumes were positive exquisitely!! The directors were the Spielbergs of their day. This film pulls you in from the start and keeps you there, right beside the characters, until the final scene!! It's truly magical, and you MUST see it on the big screen to fully appreciate it!!! ❤

The museum is playing the GWTW movie in historic Marietta square after the day event so I’ll have to watch it on the big screen it’s so beautiful

I first read the book long long ago . And with all the books I read I had the dresses in my head, how they should look , how the characters should wear them and where , so I don’t even remember what they looked like in the film that I watched probably 5 or 6 times . I read the book in French first ( I’m French) then switched to English and read it about 10 more times . I’ll be happy to watch how you make this dress . 😊

Aww thank you so much! My grandmother told me once she read the book in her 20’s for the romance and in her 30’s for the history m- I think it would be fascinating to learn about the costumes and the history all together

@@JessCroninDesigns and my mother was a very talented seamstress who taught me quite a bit but alas I was never really talented . So watching you progress on this beautiful dress will bring a bit of nostalgia since I can "see " my mother sewing that dress .

🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️I almost made this gown years ago but coin toss won the dress from “Ever After” ♥️♥️♥️ Also I watched a doc about GWTW and I think that this gown was organza at the bodice and chiffon for the skirt Not sure tho

I bought organza for it and I think it was layers of organza and chiffon so flouncy! Yesss the ever after dress is so iconic too it’s amazing how these looks jus stay with you
