I don't mind it. It looks quite tasteful if you ask me. My Boot is currently starting to fade and peel so this is a way to extend its life. Keep up the content and good luck with the move.

5 years later i bought an NB miata as a project and ran into a problem with my shift boot to suddenly remember that this was a thing. Robbie inspired me to keep going with my passion and save a little bit of money too.

I'd run a zip tie through the hole where the string is. you can get it nice and tight, and wouldn't even notice it's there ;)

I don't hate it. Actually I think it's quite inventive I mean what the most people do once they're done drink in the Crown Royal that usually end up throwing the bag in the bottle away. Way to go with recycling the bag! LOL. Great idea!

What you could do to hold those strings in place is put a dab of hot glue where the string feeds into the bag to hold it tight. Just enough to hold it but not so much that it’s super noticeable. Love the idea though👍🏻

Did you think of that yourself? I've never seen/heard anyone do this and I think it's pretty creative and unique. Seems like something that would turn into a trend. Soon everyone will be doing it.
