Outstanding Job! You both are vying for Rick Steves replacement position. My wife and I were in awe of Barcelona’s Architecture and slipped into a Food Coma while watching this. Life is all about experiences in your words. My oldest son has made a point of exposing his wife and 6 children to the world similar to your adventures. You are investing in memories that will last your life time. Thank you again for this vicarious adventure.👏👏👏
Thanks so much Ted! We have honestly been so happy that we started this channel to help remember our experiences even more - we get to relive it each time we watch and put them together.
We Spaniards , we love coffee and we take coffee in the evenings aswell. Some Spaniards even love taking coffee at night .It is the culture here with the locals. The no cafe culture is in Italy and not here in Barcelona, we take one coffee in the morning, the most classic coffee we have is "Cafe Con Leche" cafe is coffee , con is with and leche is milk so it's coffee with milk.some people have Cortado or we have one more that is Cafe con Hielo
Next time, instead of cafe 365 , go for El Fornet or if your in plaza Catalunya, go to cafe Zurich is way better. 365 cafe is like what starbucks is fir USA. ( on the go and not of much standard) 😊
Excellent video thank you. I am from The Canary Islands, if you have a chance to visit Tenerife, you won't regret it, Madrid is also a lovely city. Málaga, Granada, Sevilla, Valencia, Alicante and a long etc. All of those places in Spain are a food lovers delight.
@@JoshRachael And forgive me, I forgot to mention the best place in the world to eat, San Sebastian in the Basque Country, North of Spain. Happy Holidays
Booked a Barcelona cruise for next year. Your 2 days there already gave us a ton of ideas. Been watchin your vlogs all this time, realized I haven’t subscribed, I am now. Great vlog👍 See ya around Vegas😎
Listen , end of La Ramblas is not Catalunya rather near the monument of Columbus. The main La Rambla starts from Catalunya. There is not one Rambla, every neighbourhood has it's own Ramblas
Greetings peeps ! Wow 21 hours to get there …did you fly on a cargo plane lol . Barcelona is one of my fav cities. The last time I was there my friend and I had 8 bags of luggage so we had to take 2 taxis from the airport to fit it all . We don’t travel light …but it was a 30 day trip across Europe. The food looked amazing. We did a similar tour to La Sagrada . Great video as always 😎😎😎
@@JoshRachaelIt was a tad daunting …we hit Barcelona ..Prague …Budapest…Dubrovnik…Vienna …Berlin…Bratislava and Bucharest …so 8 countries with lots of cities beginning with a B lol.
The sauce on patatas bravas is just called salsa brava...you can buy it in a jar in any grocery store in Spain. There is nothing wrong with taking the Metro or even occasional taxis in Barcelona. You can easily get in 25,000-30,000 daily steps while taking advantage of transportation if you actually want to SEE the city and not just visit 2 or 3 neighborhoods.
OMGG - guess who's looking at trips to Barcelona just for kicks for my next trip! I LOVE those meat cones!! Insane church - wow!! Thank you for a GREAT video!!
Hi Guys, I started watching you guys recently, saw your Rome blog and was inspired. A question for you: How was your experience with Get Your Guide? We are looking at using them for our Rome and Paris trip in April/May, Thanks
Wow thanks so much, so glad you found us! We have been very happy with Get Your Guide each time we used them in Rome, Barcelona and Venice! Very easy to use, English speaking, and zero issues
Thank you! I especially appreciated you sharing the ascent and descent from the tower at Sagrada Familia- gives a good reference to determine if it is doable or not for those of us with claustrophobia or mobility issues. I assume you visited the Passion Tower?
Congratulations, you two! I saw a post that you were married. I have some catching up to do. Last I saw of you, you were in Venice. Barcelona is a fantastic city. I haven't been in years. I like your style. You did it right! We recently returned from a 10 day Holland America cruise to the Mexican Riviera and Sea of Cortez, compliments of the Wynn. In May, we'll be sailing on the new Sun Princess, 7 days Barcelona to Rome, compliments of Green Valley Ranch. Then, in the early November of next year, We're sailing for 14 days on HAL again, Greece, Adriatic and Italy. (A casino offer directly from the cruise line). So we have lots of travel in our near future. Very much looking forward to the rest of your vlogs.
Finally got around to watching this video. Out of order of course. 🙂 We loved Barcelona. Such a beautiful place. The architecture is stunning. We are taking RCI’s Odyssey OTS from Civitavecchia (Rome) in November for a 14 night transatlantic back to Bayonne, NJ and Barcelona is one of our stops. Going to catch up on your Livorno video this morning. Loved the Cinque Terre video but no way on the anchovies. Two thumbs up.👍👍
Haha the anchovies were great 😋 thanks so much hope you have an awesome cruise. Ours got totally out of order due to “agitated seas” hopefully you get all your ports as scheduled. The ones that got flipped were tender ones if you want to put it in the back of your mind
What an amazing video!!! I was there in 1988 no cell phones or internet. Loved the food and a jug of sangria was only 4.00. We went to the beach wear it was topless so big or small we beared it all… Our apartment with three bedrooms was only 24.00 per night… I loved our trip but now with internet you can enhance your trip!!! Thank you you took me back and I want to go again
Awesome hope you have a great time. We have only need to Barcelona once and this was it. We stayed at Barcelona Hotel Colonial and enjoyed our stay, felt safe and felt it was at a good location to walk to most places. The bed wasn’t as good as home but they rarely are 😂
We’ve been to Barcelona twice because once wasn’t enough. There’s much more to see and do. I think every restaurant there is wonderful. Looking forward to seeing your cruise.
We definitely had a great time. I don't think we could put it in the Top 5 for us though. We have never ranked cities we have gone to so hard to say the top 5 but know we actually would rank Athens, Venice and Rome over Barcelona from our big city travels last year
@@JoshRachael We can't wait to get back to Rome -- and Barcelona. :) Thank you for always creating content worth watching. We enjoy you two and you have inspired me to try a few dishes I may not have in the past.
We really enjoyed the Hotel Barcelona Colonial. We liked the area, lots of stuff within walking distance & seemed safe! It was our first time in Barcelona and we don’t travel with children!
