This tea light candle holder is an easy woodworking project. I offer these plans for free on my website:
www.cfbcreation...
Spade bit set: amzn.to/2NTCS6W
This was my first set of plans and my first video. I will be making more woodworking plans and videos in the future. If you have any suggestions or feedback, please leave a comment below.

Great work with the finished product, but your technique seriously had me wincing at some points. When using a miter sled, if your hands are that close to the blade, you should still be using a push stick (even the rubber end of a pencil to hold the workpiece down will do). Also, you should look in to investing in either new blades, or a sharpening system, as you got some serious burning in this video.

With the drill press part of your Shopsmith, you can get sanding discs that are round to use in a drill. That would help you easily sand the inside circles.

nice work mate! keep on the nice work.. I have only one observation: you work very close to the saws... if you upload videos you must show how to be safe as well as some legal issues may arise in case of an accident of someone watching the video and try to recreate your project.. this is just a friendly advice.. have fun!

+Βαλάντης Μαππούρας thank you for taking the time to comment. I appreciate the advice! This was my first video and I have been trying to be more aware of my safety practices in my later videos.

I just fond your channel today, Liked the video, and subscribed. I have to help out a fellow Shop Smith owner. I really liked the candle holder set. simple yet elegant. An ez way to sand out the curves is to get a small set of drum sander spindles. I believe Harbor Freight tool has a set for under $30.00 it's been a while since I bought my set. you can use them in the drill press mode. I hope you keep making videos. I enjoy seeing others use their SS. way to go.

A nice simple project, what I love is the multi machine that you used, I loved the different parts and and how easy to convert.

You need to adjust the rings on the band saw so you align the quille to it. I have a SHOPSMITH but I upgrades the table.

Maybe You should try rotary flap sanders on your drill press to do the sanding of the legs. Good job though. Well Done.

Nice build, cute tricks with the machinery, what doesn't it do ? It doesn't have a spindle sander attachment,? all those pucks you just cut out covered in sandpaper would do the trick !!

Hey man, nice work. I use a Shopsmith too. I actually have a video on fixing the bearings in the bandsaw. Anyhow, I think the video was great. I would try to shorten them and maybe add some music to keep a rhythm going! Keep up the good work!

+SouthernGinger Thanks for the advice. I figured the video was too long, but couldn't decide what to cut out. I'll have to check out your bearing repair video because my bandsaw is kinda flakey.

Why didnt you made a template from 4mm plywood instead of using carbon paper.....with a template you then could use a router to finsih it of....

Hals Wood Shop. NIce to see the Shopsmith drill press and bandsaw in use. Like me I guess you bought it used. Please read these as help not criticism. mine is a 1986 unit and with maintenance about 3 to 4 times a year( basically some oiling and blow out the sawdust inside ) wax the tubes when I do , okay another 3 times a year. mine purrs like a kitten. yours needs some of the maintenance. If you did not get a manual. there a 2 inside spots to oil with 3 in 1 oil a few drops one place and the other on your finger...please unplug machine. Outside cover removed run it up to high, shut off, pry the lower springs open look for an oil hole. mark on the pulley with sharpie a line where this is for the future. this gets about 3 drops. wait. cover back, run it and then back to speed A.

+Hal Kester thank you for your help. I did research the appropriate preventative maintenance a few months after this video... unfortunately I did so too late. I will need to purchase some replacement parts to get it back to 100%. Right now I have it rigged to work at one fixed speed until I can get those parts. I appreciate you taking the time to assist me.
