Great video, i watched this before installing an HKS Hi power on my 2006 WRX yesterday. Sounds great, fitment was spot on and i was able to install myself in about an hour with a floor jack and jack stands. Nice deep rumble, not too loud either and certainly not a fart can

Your me hero, as I'd be using a creeper/crawler (whichever you prefer); as my back can't take laying on hard surfaces anymore🙂. Like new exhaust....looks great! Progress on this build is coming along great. Cheers, A

One reason innate using gloves is cause they always tear or rip. And my hands get sweaty way too fast. I never minded getting dirty working on cars and I prefer not to wear gloves. Anyone else feel the same?????

I don't use gloves either unless I'm working on something like my exhaust, where I don't want to get fingerprints on it

I hate wearing gloves as well which i can also say my dad is the same. Another reason on top of what has already been said is the fact that i feel like i have less of a grip wearing gloves and i never get things right when wearing them compared to bare handed so it feels much better.

I'm the same. I was raised old school. I did wear gloves rarely for my job but the stuff I was handling there are WAAAAAY worse than grease and oil lol

You guys should use gasket glue when installing your exhausts. Prevents any leaking and the gaskets won’t burn through when the exhaust is extremely hot.

I bought my STI with the HKS Hi-Power and took it off after getting and exhaust too loud ticket, but I have a catless downppipe so the drone did start to get annoying on the highway. I'm running a SPT catback (made by Bosal) and it has an amazing deep rumble at idle and low rpm and is still plenty loud with the catless downpipe.

Good question! All of the lifts were occupied, so I just used the quick jacks. Not ideal, but they work great!

Here in Greece we have Subaru's that are not actually WRX STi but 1.6 ts turbo and they are at least 150hp (they are somehow economic because actuall wrx sti's are too expensive here) if i install this exhaust will it be loud and good?
