No idea why the lil Brazilian nugget popped into my head when I needed an example of the headlights. Gurgel has always been one of my favorite automotive curiosities, I'd love to import a diesel Carajas one day.
I've got a volvo 240 d24 and a d24 tic engine laying in my garage. Now I'm just waiting for your next volvo 240 swap d24 tic video to see you make the mistakes i will avoid thanks to you 😂
Dude I love the whiteboard tech talks. I’m doing a similar restoration on a 740 turbo gasser wagon that had some rust thankfully not as bad as what you’ve had to deal with but your videos have been super helpful. The ac conversion video is extremely timely because in my life currently I am trying to get some ac this summer in a old 240. Lastly you have a great character, I’ve tried to make RU-vid videos before and even while filming myself Im like man this guy stinks! idk how you do it but keep up the good work stay safe! Much 👍
Is become shiny. Love it, unbelievable what this car used to look like and how it is now. Amazing work. I’m gonna have to start a go fund me for shirts without holes and some shoes for the big bean. Love ya bud
Love the “money shot” I’m so jealous of the owner, though I have to imagine the price for this is quite high. If not, it should be. BTW, love the time lapse over-dubs, hilarious.
Your videos are very informative and enjoyable. I'm waiting already those 240 videos :) I'm starting to work on my 164 soon and my daily 240 also needs lots of attention.
Hey mate fantastic stuff like always, please make sure you update us when you find out what to do with that front windscreen weather strip, that shit is the bane of my existence. Also send me ur spare quads to me in Australia thanks xoxo gossip bean ;)
I also own RWD volvo 940 in South Korea. I also changed those chrome strips on the rear door and also bent the strips (2 in total😂) And I also ripped off that small weatherstrip and got so annoyed and had to find another donor car(960) and got that whole pillar changed. Apparently without removing the pillar and fixed glass its almost impossible to change those chrome strips without bending. I had to get the glass off just to change that strip perfectly without any dents. Anyway saw the whole video and enjoyed so much since most of the jobs were so relateable. I also saw your subwoofer install video on the 740. But my 940 seems to doesnt have that harness hole..? Maybe I wasnt able to see it since it was dark.
I love this build. I have a very similar volvo, it's a 940 however. I wanted to ask you what is your opinion about putting 215 70 r15 tires at least on the back. Currently I have stock wheels with 195 65 r15. Is it even possible to fit 215s on them?
Thank you, although I find it difficult to find these sizes. What about the more stress the bigger tires will put on the driveline?@@bakedbeansgarage116
That is a beautiful specimen! Nicely done. A wagon of similar vintage and color, although regular petrol and non-turbo, came my way last fall and it's been fun and enlightening watching you put this together. The interior work will be interesting.
