the mosquitos are attracted to your blood, which has a scent that attract the big bites. If you take vitamin b1 (it is a pill) you won’t be getting them anymore. The bugs don’t like the scent. And to avoid mosquito bites, rub coconut oil where you get bites. Like so Colleen can see! 💕
Ummmmm Colleen, If your getting bites in patches when you wake up there are a couple of things that it could be. Fleas, Bed bugs or just like you said Mosquito bites but just to be safe search up what they look like and compare them to yours just to make sure!!! Love from Canada 😊
There is also body lice that lives in clothes and bedding I bought a couch off of Facebook and guess what it had... yep body lice I didnt know they were a thing before this
Colleen, regarding those mosquitoes. Please consider “chronic hives.” Seriously, I’ve delt with what I thought were “bites”... spiders... mosquitoes?! Turns out my body has that reaction to stress. I saw an allergist, and now take Allegra to prevent those pesky hives. 🤷🏻♀️ Just a thought. Lots of love 💕
My twin had that but like slowly got immune to it by slowly taking less medicine. For the longest time though, we had no idea what was wrong and it was really scary. It’s all under control now
a alternate bug repellent is citronella! you can get it as scents/sprays/lotions or you can get a citronella plant, it grows big and smells pretty good in my opinion
Not to freak you out but I thought I was getting mosquito bites and found out they were bed bugs 😬 Try a mattress cover and bed bug spray from Home Depot!! If it’s mosquitos for sure, try peppermint oil!
Sooooo I ain't no professional, but I also used to get a TON of mosquito bites, and so I did some research about it. Basically mosquitoes are probably attracted your blood and the sugar in you blood. So one way is to lower the amount of sugar you eat (but that is way too hard honestly). So another way is to eat more garlic since it changes the way your blood tastes, and the mosquitoes don't bite as often if ever. If you don't want to eat a ton of garlic, you can take garlic tablets/pills which don't make your breath smell or anything. Plus garlic is good for your heart. Hope this helps because it has really helped me! :)
Mosquitos are more likely to bite people who eat a lot of sugar, pregnant women, people who drink a lot of alcohol, people with O+ or O- blood type I don’t remember which, and people who use fruity scented perfume and stuff.
Yep, as someone who never gets bit normally, what tipped me off that I was pregnant is when I was getting excessively bit. I knew pregnant women are prone to getting bit so I was like, "yep, I have to be pregnant". Sure enough, I was. Unfortunately, I experienced a miscarriage at 6 weeks so I'm not pregnant anymore.
it might not be mosquitoes biting you, daisy gus and moose might have fleas. i recommend buying defleaing stuff and putting it on the pets. i have the same thing, when my cat gets fleas i’m the only one in my family that gets bit so i feel your pain!!! like so she can see 💗💗💗
I love how she makes time for Flynn my parents sometimes don’t even realize I’m talking to them because they don’t look up from there phone and Collens job is literally the internet
COLLEEN IM PUTTING THIS IN CAPS SO YOU SEE HOW TO MAKE WINGS NOT SOGGY AND MAKE THEM CRUNCHY. literally all you have to do is put the wings in a pan bake them 450 until crispy then when they come out mix them all in a big bowl with just the hot sauce and a little melted butter. PLEASE LIKE SO SHE CAN SEE!!!!!
Also if you toss the wings in baking powder right before you bake them it helps make them extra crispy. I do recommend putting them on a rack as you did so they don’t sit in the juices.
If you’re getting bites in your sleep (and if they’re in groups of three) they might be bed bug bites. Some people get itchy bumps from bites from bed bugs and some don’t.
Colleen, I think you should look into what "Toxic Positivity" is. I feel like it's really important for others to learn and essentially it's where, when you maybe down, stress, overwhelmed, etc. others (or even yourself) will say "You shouldnt be sad because your life is perfect" or "you shouldn't feel how you feel because other people have it worse", etc. However, it should be okay to not wake up feeling all happy go lucky. I like when you talk about your feelings because I can relate to them too without feeling like I have to be strong, positive, or in some cases (overly) grateful. (Though I am grateful just in moments I feel down). It could be something you spread awareness about.
@@isatheone I'm sure that's how she feels at times but to be honest, it's been a pattern in her vlogs for a while. She doesn't want negative backlash while at the same time she is conditioning herself to not talk about how she feels (to her audience at least) or make her feelings smaller than they must make her feel. She should be able to have an outlet.
I have to say your child's little face in the camera is the cutest thing alive and I TOTALLY agree about Cloud Bread. That ish is nasty. It tastes like bad eggs, YUCK
@@delaneyreuter2412 but those don't protect your skin that well. They tested sunscreens on a uv screen and powdered sunscreens had like the least protection level.
If you notice the bug bites mostly happen when you’re sleeping, check for bedbugs. This time of year is prime season for them, and they tend to prefer women
Yup! This exact thing happened to me! And because hers are in groups of 2 and 3, it makes me more convinced it’s bed bugs. Colleen, if they are in groups of 2 or 3 and last for more than a week, it’s bed bugs. Better get those taken care of NOW!
Does anyone one else miss the “pUT tHe CaT down” no just me okay Also Colleen I use body oils before and if I get one I put that on them P.S. I am small RU-vidr Edit; dang so many likes didn’t expect this
okay ive seen this comment a few times and can someone enlighten me 😂😂 like what is there about that phrase at the beginning that ppl miss its just a random quote from the vlog
Try putting the sauce on the wings after you’ve baked them. When wings are fried, you don’t fry them with the sauce on, you toss them in sauce right after. So maybe baking them naked with the flour coating first would give you a similar result
We bought a cat tree thing from a yard sale and we didn't realize until we brought it home that it was COVERED in fleas. So the cats got fleas and then our laundry room floor also got fleas and I was scared to go down there without pants, socks, and leg warmers on because if I went down in shorts my legs would get COVERED in fleas. So that was fun.
I agree I don’t have the same one but the one I have is great mine toasts , bakes, air fry’s , Broils, rotisserie’s , dehydrates , and more. But she should definitely get one 😀
Hey, Colleen, I have been reading up on how to also prevent bug and mosquito bites because they really affect me as well, I have read that it is to do with your blood, seeming that most bugs are attracted to the same type of blood, that's beside the point. But what I read is if you use fresh herbs like parsley and basil, it is supposedly supposed to repel against most bugs and give off a nasty smell for them. But you have to make sure you have got some around the house and at least rubbed some of the leaves of the herbs to get the natural organic oils and vitamins out. Which I have found repelled most mosquitos and bugs away. But in saying that you can also rub a bit of the fresh herbs on a few small parts of your body to create a form of barrier. Now finally I have also read that by rubbing the inside of a banana peel on the bug bite or whatever it is, it should help stop inflammation and itchiness. p.s I'm from Australia so some of the words I use isn't necessarily words that you guys would use sorry... but I really hope this helps.
There's a wonderful smelling plant that repell's mosquitoes it's called "Citronella" plants, also called Lemongrass, the Mosquitoes stay away from my house. I love your Vlogs,
I am allergic to mosquitos and I get huge welts and rashes around my mosquito bites. I usually get at least 10 mosquito bites a day... I use The Bug Bite Thingy, but it only occasionally works. So I usually put the syringe thing on it and hold it for a minute. It hurts but it almost always works. But I agree I don’t want to smell like chemicals. My grandma found this vanilla perfume stuff that always repels the bugs all the time. I HIGHLY suggest that. It is Victoria Secret Bombshell perfume. Hope this helps!!!
I’ve watched all of colleens videos during the quarantine that I feel like I’m related to her or something😂 &&& I wish we could all vlog our days for her so she would have some entertainment too, she deserves that after all she’s been doing to stay safe during this time❤️
I could honestly watch Flynn for hours. The teacher in me loves hearing his language develop, and the mommy in me loves it when he gets right in the camera and says “ba-ba-ba-ba”. He’s such a cutie! ☺️
Those definitely look like bed bug bites, the same thing happened to my mom, no one else had any bites but my mom! I suggest you check your mattresses for any bugs, circle the bites you have and see if they go away, or if you get any more
OMG that scared me so much I am wearing headphones and the mosquito noises came on and I swatted around my head and started to run and then I realized that it was from the video and I wrote this comment.
I wake up feeling down sometimes too. It’s as though my brain decides today is going to be a bad day before I even wake up properly and I find it difficult to shake that feeling off. Makes me feel better knowing you have this too sometimes x
TIP: I always make my wings in the oven. They come out crispy every time. Shake them in a ziplock after you dried them with your spices flour AND a smidge of baking powder. When you bake, follow same process as racks but bake dry. Then toss in sauce. They come out perfect every time.
Im actually very grateful that Colleen started vloging everyday! I feel like my respect skyrocketed for her once we got closer to her! I wasn’t a huge fan before quarentine bc she didn’t post and she never got very personal with us as much as she did! But now I feel like I’m her family not a fan! So this is like the only good thing that has happened during quarentine! I’m very grateful of you Colleen! :) I’m very glad ur so open to ur fans like this!
idk how to not get mosquito bites but there is a brand called “AfterBite” and it literally works wonders!!!!!!! if you put it on after your shower in the morning the bites won’t itch for the rest of the day!!!! I LOVE THIS PRODUCT
It might be from the squirrels/mice being so close to the yard, they’ll probably get more comfortable with going close especially when no ones physically around
Lavender oil works for me! As well as an aloe bug repellent that doesn’t smell bad compared to regular big repellent! I hope this helps 😆😆😆 BTW.... I discovered you during this quarantine and I LOVE your vlogs soooo freaking much! I always look forward to watching your vlogs because they really bring happiness to my day and I get educated as well with your night time talks! I just wanted to let you know ❤️ ok BYEEEE!!!
It is lol, I bake a lot and saw the recipe on tiktok and thought it would just be meringue but was confused when I saw the results. I tried it and it just came out as under-baked meringue. I ended up throwing it out because I’m not a fan of meringue at all, huge waste 😂
Spreading some good vibes to those reading this comment right now .. have an amazing rest of the day/night. If something in your life isn't going right, just trust the process! Everything will always work out in the end. Stay blessed!
I was just watching Miranda and i got a notification for this and I immediately clicked and also i ordered a bunch of your new merch and I’m soooo excited to get it!!!!
@@graceq2236 I think it was a typo. I think she meant to say "I heard it" because she commented the same thing on another comment about Flynn saying something
Crispy Wings tricks: -skip the breading step.. every time I have tried this they stay soggy -keep putting the wings on a rack, although not 100% necesarry -be prepared to cook them for a long time I usually just season my chicken wings with basic spices and then put them in the oven at around 400 for almost an hour. It is an annoyingly long time but they should crisp, and then after I take them out I will put buffalo sauce or whatever sauce you want on them
